The welcome is warm, the advice is pertinent, and Hamza's passion for sound will help you unearth that rare black disc you've been dreaming of!

In the old medina of Marrakech, you will find this address specialized in the manufacture and sale of musical instruments. The second floor is dedicated to the creation of traditional instruments and the ground floor is the sales area. Essential to Gnaoua and Berber music, guembri, derbouka, loutar and others, handcrafted from walnut, cedar or poplar wood, will have no more secrets for you. Amateur or not, it is a beautiful discovery.

Imed welcomes you to his small music shop full of treasures: riata, karkabou, gembri or traditional Moroccan percussion decorated with Berber symbols and natural pigments, to name but a few. Here, we go through the history of Morocco and its crossbreeding by discovering these instruments. The luckiest ones will be able to listen to a live gnawa song played by Imed who shares his passion with generosity.
