The Tangier-City station, which is functional and easy to access, was completely redeveloped and expanded in the early 2000s by architect Youssef Melehi. It was equipped with a new passenger terminal in 2018 dedicated to the Al Boraq high-speed train. The high-speed train connects Tangier to Casablanca in just 2 hours 10 minutes and Rabat in 1 hour 40 minutes, with other connections to Assilah, Sidi Kacem (change for Fez) and Marrakech (night train).
