The New Year is celebrated as everywhere with good food, champagne, fireworks and family. But there is one thing that is different: it is celebrated twice in the same day, once at 8pm Danish time and again at midnight local time! This is a way of signalling that we are thinking of the relatives in Denmark. In both cases, the sky and snow-covered landscapes are lit by spectacular and colourful fireworks. Every family likes to fire their own fireworks!
