It's the kind of water park you'd expect to find in any tourist area. If you don't have children, don't bother. It's still expensive for what you get.

A group of merry men with a passion for the islands and caving frequently organize outings. On the program: flora, fauna, volcanology and atmosphere guaranteed. Please note: between March and November, they organize a free guided day hike once a month! No need to book, just drive to their office at 9am on the day of the hike. You'll then be directed to the starting point, which you can park right next to and drive to. The hike then starts at 10am. Please bring your own picnic.

A spectacular golf course in the middle of a powerful volcanic landscape and lush tropical vegetation. Mackenzie Ross established the first nine holes of the course in 1936 and is the first golf course on the island. Developed brilliantly by architects Bob Cameron and Chris Powell in 1992, the course now features 18 British-style holes and a clubhouse. The Furnas golf course is located in one of the most beautiful regions of São Miguel Island, on a plateau at the top of the valley.
