It is the most important religious holiday, it is celebrated for eight weeks.
This astonishing cult has spread to all the islands, with varying degrees of fervor and symbolism. The main figure is the emperor, drawn by lot, who is led in procession to theimperio, where the coronation takes place. The mordomos, also drawn by lot, are in charge of the bodo, the dinner held on Whit Sunday. Bread and wine are distributed free of charge, originally to the needy and now to everyone who passes by (including you!).
