When to go New Caledonia ?

No matter when you decide to visit New Caledonia, the island offers beautiful landscapes and great experiences. Located in the Southern Hemisphere, the island has the opposite seasons to the mainland. July has the coolest temperatures, while January has the highest. But all year round, life in New Caledonia is punctuated by village and island festivals.

In Caledonia the seasons are reversed: summer takes place from December to March. Its temperatures vary between 25 and 27 °C on average and are accompanied by short tropical rainfalls. The cool season, or austral winter, extends from April to November with average temperatures of 20 to 23°C. The period to be avoided, because of the rains, is between January and March, with a particularly rainy February.
