For many years, the Tashkent French Cultural Centre has done an admirable job in promoting the Francophonie and monitoring French-speaking Uzbek students in their university curricula. Go to Tashkent, don't miss to go there, especially if you want to meet with young Uzbeks curious and eager to know France and French better. On a Friday in two from 19 a. m. to 21 p. m., the CCF organizes the "Victor Hugo Café" to which many students of all levels go. One in two on two, round tables are scheduled to address specific topics. Again, the CCF is ready to welcome any interesting participation. Saturday also, at 16 a. m., cinema-club meeting. Finally, the CCF has a beautiful library where you can consult the French press.
