The end of the Second World War is celebrated on May 9. Parades and commemorations throughout the country.
The end of the Second World War is celebrated on May 9, as everywhere in the former USSR, the signing of the German surrender on the Eastern Front occurred one day after the one signed with the Allies in the West. This was in response to Stalin's strict desire to sign a separate peace. In Uzbekistan, people talk about the Great War against fascism, rather than the Second World War. And as in Russia on the same day, parades and commemorations are held in all public places of cities and villages.
