Please note that accommodation and meals are generally paid for by the volunteers, even for long missions. Calcutta Rescue offers classes to children in the slums, mobile clinics, and help with reintegration are all programs where volunteers can get involved.

Created in 1985 in Calcutta by French people, the Ashalayam association gives courses to street children and helps them to reintegrate until the end of adolescence by providing them with a professional training adapted to their needs so that they can be financially independent in adulthood. Volunteers who wish to work with this NGO must have a specific project and send a letter of motivation to the headquarters.
