Open from 6am to 11pm, it has 9 lines for a network of over 200 km.

Tickets are magnetictokens valid for one trip, or a magnetic Tourist Card with unlimited trips. There is also a rechargeable card if you stay in Delhi for a long time or make few trips. At the entrance of each station, be prepared to be searched.

The search is systematic at the entrance of the metro and you must deposit your bag which will be X-rayed. Men and women must line up separately for the body search.

JAIPUR METRO

Getting around by metro

After years of work that turned the city of Jaipur upside down, the metro is finally operational. It has a single line, and from a tourist point of view, only a few stations are worthy of interest. The line serves the Jaipur railway station and the old town of Jaipur with the stations Chandpole, Chhoti Chaupar and Badi Chaupar. The metro runs between 6:20 am and 9:50 pm. There is a Tourist Card valid for 1 day or 3 days which allows unlimited travel. But it is of little interest because of the limited number of stations.

KOCHI METRO

Kochi's aerial metro was inaugurated on June 17, 2017, it only serves stations on the mainland at the moment. It is convenient for avoiding city traffic and getting to certain points in the city quickly. The latest phase of development aims to connect 10 different islands by boat, with a total of 15 "lines" over a total distance of 78 km: this is the Kochi Water Metro project.
