Since 2012, a direct line has been opened between Paris and Moscow following the opening of the line between Nice and Moscow in 2010. The journey is 3,177 km, between 37 and 38 hours depending on the direction of the journey. In winter trains leave the capital, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Saturdays while two additional trains operate on Monday and Thursday in summer.
