Textile arts are the main focus here. You will find a beautiful selection of carefully selected batiks, clothing, scarves and scarves, in colorful tones. A few decorative objects, and in particular beautiful cushion covers, complete the collection... of good taste, of course.

This factory holds a virtual monopoly on tin, one of Malaysia's main export products. This benchmark brand of quality is the pride of the Malaysian people. Free 15-minute tours of the factory are available from 9am to 5pm. Manufactured products are available from the boutique. If you don't want to go that far, you can visit the Royal Selangor Shop on the1st floor of the Suria KLCC.

For these ladies, here you'll find nyonya slippers, set with colorful pearls. Slippers and sandals are all handmade creations by Raymond Yeo, heir to this artisanal factory created by his grandfather. Floral or geometrical beaded motifs adorn the top of the foot. The craftsman also perpetuates the manufacture of slippers for bandaged feet. Although the tradition has fortunately been lost, the distinctive slippers are like museum pieces, for ornamental use only.

This vast warehouse has been converted to showcase the local craft: batik. Located just across from Beserah beach, tourists flock here in droves to learn about the technique that combines wax and dye. Demonstration workshops are held several times a day, and courses are available for adults and children alike. You can also stop off for a spot of shopping and pick up some colorful sarongs at a very reasonable price. A perfect gift idea.
