Getting around by bus and coach Malaysia

Malacca's bus station is 7.5 km from the city center. Cabs cost RM20 and take around 20 minutes, or take the bus (RM1.40). Some twenty companies are represented, offering frequent departures to all of Malaysia's tourist destinations. Kota Kinabalu has several bus terminals, depending on the direction the buses take.

The Northern Bus Terminal on Jalan Undan serves Sabah's remote east coast and the towns of Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Tawau.

For towns in the west and interior of the state (Kudat, Kota Belud...), buses leave from Padang Merdeka in the city center.

For towns in southern Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei, buses leave from the City Park Bus Terminal opposite the High Court Building.
