Kuala Lumpur International Airport is located 45 km south of the capital. It actually comprises two separate terminals, several kilometers apart, but sharing the same airport infrastructure. KLIA is the airport for international airlines and Malaysia Airlines. KLIA2 is the airport for Air Asia and regional low-cost carriers. Check your ticket before you leave to ensure you arrive at the right airport. Both terminals are modern and offer all the services you need for a smooth departure or arrival.

Kuching International Airport sees a large number of daily flights and is one of the best for connecting the island of Borneo to the mainland. Air Asia, Malyaisia Airlines, MASWings, Malindo, Scoot and Wings Air provide connections to all parts of Borneo, to the peninsula's main cities, and to Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore. Just 11 km from the city center, cabs are the only direct and fast option.

11 km north of the city center, the runway of Sultan Mahmud airport literally juts out into the sea. On landing, you feel as if you're going to land on the water, before the wheels touch down and bring you back to a happy reality: a successful landing! Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia serve Kuala Lumpur and its international airports KLIA and KLIA2. The terminal may seem a little out of proportion to daily traffic, but it can handle 2 million passengers a year.
