It's a small, unpretentious coffee-shop, like so many in the Sultanate, offering fresh fruit juices, milkshakes and a few ice creams. The place is simple but very well located on the main street leading to the fort. The concept is more that of a takeaway, but you can also decide to stop for a moment around the 2 or 3 tables that are set out on the little stretch of sidewalk if you don't mind the heat of the street. It's a simple thing to do, but sometimes you're glad to find a cool drink before or after your visit to the fort!

The uncle from Kentucky just has to behave himself, Nando's can cry into his Mozambican handkerchief, here is ZFC, local grand-vizier of roast poultry, supreme mamamouchi of the kebab and a ribbon of Indian, Arab and Chinese dishes! Easy to find because it can be spotted from the main road with its colours, in grey and blazing red. We stop quickly near the roundabout to order takeaway or we settle inside, in the large air-conditioned room where it's a McDonald's-style takeaway! Zaki is a landmark too well known to be ignored.

Close to the Mutrah souk, it's the perfect place to sit on the terrace facing the corniche, or in the cool air-conditioned room, to drink a fresh fruit juice or the famous Omani lemon mint. This small coffee-shop also offers a simple but varied menu at attractive prices, with wraps, keftes and kebabs, as well as more traditional cuisine with a wide choice of mezze, shawarma or mix grill. Ideal for enjoying the corniche atmosphere.

As is often the case all over the country, the colourful front of the coffee shop in Mirbat, at least the one that seemed to us to be the most correct and busiest, contrasts a little with the old decayed and ochre coloured houses of the village. If you're on an excursion or a stroll and you don't plan to sit down to eat, you quickly stop to order fresh juice and sandwiches; otherwise, you stop in the charming room, which has the advantage of an air-conditioning system.

This Italian restaurant brand was born in 2019 from the idea of 2 young transalpine influencers. After opening 15 locations in the boot, the brand expanded to Oman in 2023. Located on the^3rd floor of the Avenues Mall, right in front of the ski slope, the place is ultra colorful and welcoming and offers simple but authentic street food, pizza, Italian burgers, ice cream... There's nothing like a little Italian break to satiate yourself before or after the snow park! Dishes to take away or to taste on the spot. Two other openings planned in Muscat.

We've always had a soft spot in our hearts for the location of this little coffee-shop: right here, facing the imposing fort at the end of the street, on this pretty little square shaded by a ficus tree and surrounded by a few stalls. You can order directly from the counter, and everything is fresh, inexpensive and quite good, making it one of the best value-for-money places in town.
