And since in this country, we like to share dishes, we opt for a menu - a way to discover at least 8 typical flavors of this beautiful cuisine. On the menu, the names of the dishes(Khoresht-e-bamiya, Ash-e-adas, etc.) are already a form of travel, but you can also discover some classics of Omani cuisine (The taste of Oman). The room, typically oriental, is cosy but prefer the terrace in good weather with a breathtaking view on the capital.

300 metres from the fort, run by an Iranian man and his wife, here is a real neighbourhood bistro-style restaurant: not too big, with personal touches in the decoration, the boss at the reception and the dishes simmering in the kitchen. In a cage whose doors are willingly opened at off-peak times, tamed budgies converse, that's the story. At the table or sitting on the floor on carpets, one discovers or tastes dishes of Iranian cuisine based mainly on mutton or chicken. For those who are interested: saffron from Iran sold locally.

Passing through any façade of the building, one comes across an impressive entrance, a porch entirely covered with brilliant mosaics that leads to a no less majestic room whose walls are covered with frescoes and whose ceilings are worked. Welcome to Iran! Under the guidance of a local chef, the menu is rich, varied and typical: you can savour a moutabal as in the country, delicious chicken skewers marinated with labneh and saffron, divine kebabs. The only thing missing is a glass of Shiraz to accompany the dishes, which are also very hearty.
