Everyone will be able to marvel at the 2.60 m sunfish caught in Solanas, or the 19 m whale skeleton... In three aquariums, corals, octopuses, snails and starfish will lead you in their aquatic ballet. Finally, we will discover - with photos and texts - the history of Piriápolis, Punta del Este and Pocitos (Montevideo).

Read moreThis museum-pinacoteca, hidden on the second floor of the municipal library, exhibits great works by Uruguayan artists such as José Cúneo, Pedro Figari, Rafael Barradas, César Pesce Castro, Luis Scolpini, Carmelo Rivello, Gilberto Bellini and Juan Luis Blanes. It is possible to admire paintings from the Romantic and Post-Impressionist periods, such as La Pobreza by Pedro Blanes Viale. Both the museum and the library were donated by the philanthropist Eusebio Estaquio Giménez.
