LA TERCERA

La Tercera, launched in 1950, is another Chilean general-interest daily that competes withEl Mercurio. With a daily circulation of 190,000 copies, it is a popular conservative newspaper that once supported the Pinochet dictatorship. Today, the quality of the paper has evolved and the political news is up to par. On Sundays, it prints more copies, with very popular sports pages and interesting social analyses. The newspaper has a dozen or so supplements (education, travel, fashion, etc.). The newspaper also has a website.
