FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE MUSIQUE DE GABALA

The former capital and stopover on the Silk Road has had its own music festival since 2009, held in the open air, in the sumptuous setting set by the Greater Caucasus chain. The programme is essentially classical, but on the fringes of the festival there are also many jazz or mugham groups (traditional music from Azerbaijan).
