RECITEL

The Recitel are part of the workshops organized by CIT (Cinéma itinérant du Togo), and CNA (Cinéma Numérique Ambulant). The NAC is an international network of associations working for a cinema for all and everywhere. This network has been formed around countries such as Benin, Burkina Faso, France, Niger... and most recently Togo. This desire to democratize cinema is a reflection of the absence of cinema in the countryside of most of these member countries. This will delight rural people, who rarely have the opportunity to watch a film, and people living in working-class neighbourhoods in large cities, who are often marginalized. Since 2019, the Recitel family has also been opening up to photography and artistic video. Among the sponsors are major organisations such as the International Organisation of La Francophonie, the European Union and Radio France Internationale. CIT's mission is to revive traditional cinema and share it with as many people as possible. It is on this last point that the two partners, CIT and CNA, join forces. Long live the open-air cinema!
