ATES is the first national network of fair and solidarity tourism operators. Today, it brings together 22 travel associations around a common charter and brings together selected tour operators based on a strict ethical criteria grid. All work in the same way: establish a tourist activity that helps local development in the host regions, in a close partnership with local communities and their representatives. Regardless of destination and destination, tourists travel, with respect for the people, their culture and their environment, in small groups, far away from major tourist infrastructure, under truly privileged conditions for meetings and exchanges. It is welcomed in the home or in nearby accommodation (villages, houses managed by families, camps…). It best promotes the local economy (guides, food, transport, crafts…). The trips proposed by ATES members are all developed under the Charter. Travel formulas are numerous and depending on destination, host region, partners, each trip is different. In fact, ATES offers a Guaranteed Tourism Guarantee label to guarantee travelers a unique experience. The ATES tour operators offer all travel packages in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe, in more than 70 countries: Stay in the heart of a village or in the home, cultural circuits, hiking, equestrian discoveries, discoveries of wildlife and flora, à la carte… They also animate the network with training, awareness of fair and solidarity tourism and representations at institutional level, expertise…
