The mission of the CIO Relais Europe is to welcome, inform and advise all those wishing to find out more about guidance in general: secondary school pupils, students, but also adults (parents, teachers, those involved in training and employment...). You can meet with a guidance counselor for a one-to-one interview, with or without an appointment. Computer workstations and up-to-date information on training courses, qualifications, professions and administrative competitions are also available.

The city of Orléans has 74 public schools - kindergarten and primary - 10 colleges and 5 high schools. With regard to schools, their location, to know the school map and how to proceed with exemptions from the school card, that is where you need to address. Studying here means discovering the French language at the heart of the University of Lorraine and benefiting from its infrastructure. Le DéFle enables foreign students in residence in the city to learn and/or perfect their French, while discovering the culture of our country. Registration is preceded by a language test. Courses are offered on a semester or yearly basis, for twenty hours a week, or à la carte, depending on individual objectives. For intra-European Erasmus students, these lessons are free of charge.

AGORAé is a space of solidarity and exchange open to all students and an Intercampus solidarity grocery store, accessible according to social criteria, on the Red Cross campus in modular building 1.8. Throughout the year, you will find fresh products, groceries and basic necessities but also workshops to learn how to make household products, friendly and free activities such as Wednesday pancakes and board games... AGORAé is a place entirely managed by students that works daily for equal opportunities in higher education. A second space has opened in the Teilhard de Chardin residence, at 9 rue des Crayères.

In the heart of the city, the Student's House is a municipal service designed to promote the integration of students enrolled in a higher education institution. For them, a housing service, between private students and owners. The student must present himself with his valid student card to obtain a list of private owners. These dwellings are located in Toulon and in the toulonnaise agglomeration. All types of accommodation can be proposed: room in the living room, studio, apartment, villa, furnished or empty, colocations. Other service, assistance to small student jobs (ad hoc missions, year-to-year contracts, seasonal contracts, and special courses): Students register with a computer support CV, an identity photo, and their valid student card. Two registration formulas, from April for summer jobs and September for winter jobs, support for writing CV and motivational letters (Thursday), and hiring maintenance and recruitment assistance. This association shall record books on CD 3 for all persons for whom the prevention of reading is medically attested: historical stories, novels, police… more than 5,000 titles. Since 2006, the Sound Library of Brive has recorded and serious the Corrèze Magazine and Brive Mag every month. Currently, the Sound Library of Brive is: a dozen animators, fifteen voice donors, more than 100 audio-readers, more than 5,000 works recorded in catalog and more than 2,600 titles lent each year. Cds are sent to audio readers by post (free port and back), or removed from the Audio Library at peak times. Everything is free! To be able to benefit from it, you only have to submit a medical certificate.

The SUAPS offers students and staff of Clermont-Ferrand's universities over 30 activities at different times of the day, so that everyone can find a slot to suit their schedule. Activities range from the more traditional aikido, athletics, badminton, basketball and skiing, to the more original: kite flying, snowshoeing, rope acrobatics, rollerblading, yoseikan... Access to these activities is free once sports fees have been paid, and they are supervised by a team of 10 teachers and part-time staff.

Created over twenty years ago, this service is linked by agreement to the DRAC and the French Ministry of Education. Students are welcomed to take part in various workshops and in the creation of shows open to all. Specialists set up various activities, each responsible for a specific area. The Information and Orientation Centers were created to allow everyone to find out about studies. The CIO also participates in the fight against school dropout.

The Sainté Pass has undergone a metamorphosis and in September 2023 became La Boge, the city's new free website for all students and young people aged 13 to 29, living or studying in Saint-Etienne. "Boge" comes from "gaga" and refers to a satchel or canvas bag. A 100% home-grown product, Boge offers good deals, discounts and free admission for young people to concerts, sports events, matches, museums, cinemas, etc. The site is available in 3 languages (French, English and Spanish), and registration is free.

The CROUS, or Centre Régional des oeuvres Universitaires et Scolaires, is the reference establishment for all students in the Orleans-Tours academy. Student grants, housing in university residences, university restaurants, but also a cultural service which proposes the Student Cultural Passport (the famous PCE!), or social assistants... If you are a student, with or without a grant, the CROUS offers you its help to improve your living and working conditions. So don't hesitate to browse the website or to push the door to ask for advice without any apprehension. The delays are sometimes long, but it is worth waiting.

The Maison des Adolescents d'Orléans offers an essential service to young people and their families. This preventive mental health center welcomes adolescents and young adults in need of support quickly, free of charge and unconditionally. The multidisciplinary team carefully assesses each situation and offers personalized support, either in-house or through referral to expert services. The aim is always to promote the young person's well-being, helping him or her to overcome the difficulties that stand in the way of self-fulfilment. The center offers a gateway for those going through a complicated period in their lives.

You're young and you don't yet know what you want to do in life? Don't worry, you're not alone. The IOC team is here to welcome you and guide you. On site, you have access to a documentation room with a large number of paper tools to help you see more clearly (files, magazines, job descriptions, etc.). But the best thing is to ask to be received by a guidance counsellor-psychologist, free of charge, so that you can feel accompanied, supported and advised. The interviews are confidential. Orientation forums and career conferences are held regularly throughout the year, which makes it possible to go through all the professions in one day.

The mission of the CRIJ (Centre Régional d'Information Jeunesse) is to produce information for young people (health, training, law, employment...) and to program training courses for network professionals and partners. The CRIJ website is a mine of information on a wide range of subjects (employment, training, housing, volunteering, etc.). Two separate sites are dedicated to international initiatives and mobility: jep.bzh and enroutepourlemonde.org. Although CRIJ no longer receives the public on its premises, it does offer a dedicated online chat service. It also organizes annual regional editions for young people on jobs and housing.
