The Rectorat is made up of various departments, including the Rector's Office, Communications, Human Resources, the Directions des Services Départementaux de l'Education Nationale, Enseignement Supérieur, Examens et Concours, Formation Initiale et Continue, Orientation, and more. Both sites are well served by public transport and are accessible by car, with parking lots nearby.

The Rectorat de Toulouse is responsible for implementing the educational policy defined by the government, in partnership with the communes for primary education, the Conseils Généraux for collèges and the region for lycées. More than 60,000 pupils in the Académie de Toulouse benefit from Occitan language teaching, from awareness-raising to bilingual education. Occitan is taught at the Université Jean Jaurès et Paul Sabatier in Toulouse and at the INSPE in Toulouse.

The Montpellier academy covers Aude, Gard, Hérault, Lozère and Pyrénées Orientales. The other departments of the Occitanie region are managed by the Académie de Toulouse. The Montpellier academy is pursuing a dynamic policy to promote Catalan and Occitan, in partnership with the OPLO and OPLC. To increase the number of speakers and encourage the teaching of Occitan and Catalan, it has signed two agreements with local authorities.

Like all information and guidance centers (CIO), the one in Le Mans is part of the French Ministry of Education, and its role is to provide information on education, vocational training, qualifications and professions for all, with particular emphasis on schoolchildren and their families. Young people benefit from individual advice. The CIO has a large documentary collection on education and professions, which can be consulted. Documentalists and psychologists are available to meet families.
