The 27 ^th International Kites Meeting will undoubtedly be one of the flagship events on the Opal Coast in 2013. This year's theme will be "20 000 links in the air". So free to cerfs of imagination and invention to offer the audience new dreamlike creatures. The sky will cover all of the same colourful sails as the rest of the world, for an air and sea tour in 9 days. Shells, marine animals, crustaceans, turtles and giant octopus reinventing the sky as a giant aquarium.

On this occasion, several booths and numerous animations will be offered. Among other things, the Wind Garden, the Manufacturing Workshop, the School of Pilotage, the Wind School or the Children's Village. Don't miss this fantastic and singular rendezvous.

20 km of beach are spread out for your pleasure. Water sports enthusiasts will be in paradise at the Club Nautique de Merlimont, which has been awarded the French sailing and sand yacht school label. Awarded the title of "Best Sports School, Sports Development Prize" in 2019 by the FFVoile, the Toulon Yacht Club is, all year round, an economical solution for nautical activities for children and adults. Kayak, paddle, catamaran, windsurfing, wind-foil: a very good plan to improve via the school, or to have fun in renting or through supervised outings (why not at sunset?). Its location is perfect, with the large Mourillon parking lot right next to it.

The sailing section of the ASPTT does not organize regular offshore outings during the year. However, cruises can be made on request. Costa Brava, Balearic Islands, Marseille coves, a day of relaxation, a week-end, a week or more, it is possible to navigate through the most beautiful sites on the Mediterranean coast. During the summer, young people can take advantage of the introductory courses of the sailing school.

The leisure center introduces you to a wide range of water sports: catamarans, windsurfers, funboards, canoes and solo paddles are all available for hire. And don't forget the latest addition: a giant paddle for 10 people! Private lessons are also available, as are group courses from April to October, by reservation only. All supervised by friendly, qualified staff. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned freshwater sailor, there's something for everyone at the Centre Nautique de la Madine.

Affiliated to the French Sailing Federation, the OCEAN association was born from the grouping of the Ouistreham sailing and sand yacht school (SRCO) and the Colleville-Montgomery sailing school (Wind 14). It offers various activities on the sea, the canal or on the sand in Ouistreham-Riva-Bella, Colleville-sur-Mer and Lion-sur-Mer. Finally, the Nautical Activity Centre (CANO), created in 2020, aims to make the sailing school the first in Normandy.

Specialized in windsurfing, Wave School offers beginners and advanced windsurfers: courses, training courses, equipment rental, paddle. Special courses for children, with a lightweight board to learn in a fun way. The singularity of this school: a Windfoil center, a board equipped with a foil. The windfoil is the latest evolution of windsurfing, it will bring you a pure and light gliding sensation above the water. You are a windsurfer, you sail with your feet in the straps: you can fly! What a pleasure on the water!

Located in Baie de la Pipe, 10 minutes from the port, the Ile d'Yeu sailing school is ideally situated on the beach. A wide choice of courses and services for all ages, supervised by qualified instructors. From catamaran to kayak, windsurfing to Hobie Cat and stand-up paddle. And a new discipline, offered as a course or by the session: wingfoil! There are also courses for children and a chance to discover the marine environment with Jardin des Mers.

The municipal sailing school is located on the beach of La Normandelière. Initiation and improvement courses, where private lessons in various nautical activities: Optimist, catamaran, windsurfing or kayaking. The base also welcomes groups and sea classes, it also provides equipment rental: catamaran, windsurfing, kayak and paddle. The sailing school also offers leisure sailing activities on Wednesdays and Saturdays from April to June and from September to November. New: windsurffoil, windsurfing board equipped with a foil.

O'Abandonado offers sea outings aboard an old 1916 coaster for 18 passengers. Two-hour daytime and sunset cruises. Sea class, group and seminar outings are also organized. Crowned "Top club" in 2020 and 2021 by the French Sailing Federation, the Fort Saint-Pierre Nautical Center offers various formulas for learning to sail or improving your sailing skills in a superb setting and under ideal conditions. Weekly courses: sea garden (4-6 years), Optimist, dinghy, windsurfing, catamaran... Private lessons (all types of boats including wingfoil), family outings in a collective sailboat, multi-activity courses for teenagers, paddle outings, etc.

The first glider pilot training center in France! 365 days a year, it offers the possibility of flying in one of the most aerologically favoured regions. A departmental gliding school offers young people under the age of 25 the opportunity to train and obtain certificates. One of the oldest sailing clubs of the city that proposes from the age of 12 to practice sailing, on sailboats mini-J at the Regatta. Animations and competitions are often organized to motivate browsers from all sides.

The club of the famous navigator Jean-Luc Van den Heede, holder since 2004 of the world's solo record on wind and currents. All practices are possible as long as there is no engine. The training takes place on Sunday afternoon when spring is announced on the water base of Argouvres. The water plan represents about 12 hectares well aerated and not high-bottom. Sailing enthusiasts, welcome to Sport Nautique d'Andernos! The friendly instructors, the trips around the Île aux Oiseaux... are just some of the reasons to try your hand at sailing. Nautical excursions and courses during the school vacations are offered on Optimists from age 6, dinghies from age 8, catamarans from age 10 and windsurfers from age 11. The course comprises 5 sessions of 3 hours each, from Monday to Friday, depending on the tides. Private and group lessons are led by qualified instructors.

Created in 1848, the SNBS is one of the oldest clubs in France. It organizes events such as the 40' Malouine - Class 40 and participates in the organization of mythical races like the Route du Rhum. The club has many activities: light sailing, habitable and sea rowing. The sailing school offers activities all year round, with courses (windsurfing, J80, Topaz, Optimist, bug...), picnic days on the islands, evening events and family outings.

Géraldine and Christophe's water sports center is located on the banks of the Pissevaches lake. Many activities are available: paddle, giant paddle, kayak, wingfoil, wingsurf, kitesurf, ski lift... Depending on your choice, you can practice your hobby on the sea or on the pond. Glisse & Kite also offers a most unusual experience. Imagine yourself at sunset, on a floating pontoon in the middle of the water, comfortably seated on deckchairs and enjoying aperitifs and tapas with friends, family or just the two of you!

If you spend your vacations, a weekend or if you live in Port-Leucate, the desire to take the wind on a sailing machine must have already titillated you... Windsurfing, catamaran, sand yacht, optimist, pirogue, canoe paddle, there is something for all desires, all levels and all ages (from 8 years). A preparation for competition (regattas, races) is also proposed, with the material at disposal. We tested the 5-day windsurfing initiation course (more than 7 hours of sailing). Clément, our state-qualified instructor, was very patient even if our group was particularly alert on this board mounted with a 4-meter sail and a wind force close to zero. This is where it gets complicated for the coach. But Clément, as a good teacher and a very good technician, was able to tackle different exercises such as sailing with a crosswind, gybing, tacking, starting to sail upwind... Note that the navigation takes place on the XXL pond of Port Leucate, a particularly beautiful site, with a unique panorama of the Mediterranean. At the end of the course, we received a booklet from the federation with our first level validated. The latest equipment is very well maintained and adapted to all levels. In spite of the light wind, which is very rare here, we had a great time without any headaches and we definitely wanted to pass the second level!

Founded in 1956, it is the oldest yacht club in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Approved by the Ecole Française de Voile (French Sailing School), the club operates all year round, offering weekend packages such as "Sails and Gastronomy", which take you as far as Cadaquès (on a 10.50 m monohull for 4 people). The club also organizes corporate regattas. And in summer, our instructors introduce you to dinghy sailing, catamaran sailing and windsurfing, with private or group lessons by the hour or day (from age 6). The club is also "Jeunesse et Sports" approved, and can welcome school groups and vacation associations for courses on optimist or catamaran. Having moved back into permanent premises in 2015, the Yachting Club now offers a warm and friendly welcome.

The Charente Sailing School gives children and adults alike a taste of the joys of sailing on the Saint-Yrieix lake. You can rent catamarans, windsurfers, canoes and mountain bikes by the hour or half-day. Introductory and advanced courses are available on reservation. Finally, around the base, you can take advantage of the many activities available: jogging and mountain bike tracks, playgrounds, handball, five-a-side soccer... Of course, you can also swim in the lake!

A water sports base approved by the French Sailing School (from 5 years old) which is completed by a water ski school and catamaran, windsurf, sea kayak, pedal boat, wakeboard and boat rental without a license. Nautilclub is a sailing and boat rental school on the Biscarrosse-Parentis lake. Catamaran, funbord, dinghy, paddle, pedalo, kayak... With family or friends, discover this large natural lake covering 3,500 hectares. The lake water is soft, shallow and sandy. Quick to warm up, it's ideal for learning to windsurf. Whether you're looking for an introductory session, a group session or a private lesson, Nautilclub is for everyone who wants to try their hand at windsurfing. Recognized as a French Sailing School, this establishment promotes sailing in Ajaccio through courses and various formulas under the "Voile Loisirs" label. It offers solutions tailored to the varied needs of participants. The Gulf of Ajaccio offers a superb sailing area, with a constant south-south-westerly wind. Our training courses lead to certification in accordance with the French Sailing Federation's standards.

Working all year Round with three graduate monitors, the NBC offers a wide range of nautical activities. You can start or confirm yourself on various boats: optimist, habitable, catamaran, dinghy. The club also offers outings in rowing and sea kayaking. The NBC exercises its activities on the beach of the Igesa on the Lido de la Marana. It is a useful address for those who want to take the wide.

The water base Mare e Vela proposes its sea garden for 4-7 years, the discovery of the marine environment on different media: optimist, boards, workshops and awakening activities (fishing, aquarium, beach games and water). From 8 years old: initiation and development in optimist, Open Bic and windsurfing. After 13 years, courses are made on catamaran, Open Bic and windsurfing. At the marina, the nautical center on the beach of Mancinu, labeled EFV, has a sailing school and rentals of Optimist, catamaran, windsurfing, stand-up paddle board Eclipse and kayaks mirage Adventure Island. Voiles & Traditions in Paimpol offers you an escape from the beaten track. Come aboard one of our old rigs to discover the Bréhat archipelago or explore more distant horizons, such as the Isles of Scilly or Spain. This adventure, lasting from half a day to several days, is accessible to all, with a passionate crew happy to share their knowledge and let you take part in the maneuvers. The Saône is perfect in Auxonne for windsurfing, optimist or even canoeing. L'Etoile Auxonnaise is a combination of several sports clubs, affiliated with the French sailing Federation, rents it to the public non member of windsurfing and sailing dinghies during the period from April to October. Very dynamic with the public young in particular, it organizes courses in summer.

Also, if you stay not far from Auxonne, you will find this hotel a perfect frame for training of specialities enumerated above. Children aged between 8 and 12 years can even free session on optimist or windsurfing - from 10 years. Finally, from May to at the end of August, several issues and regattas are scheduled. The Cherbourg Sailing School, which totals no less than 1,500^m2 of usable space spread over two levels, has a reception hall, classrooms, changing rooms, staff offices, school users' premises and the rowing club. The school welcomes children from the age of 6, is open for school holiday courses, sea classes, provides departmental dinghy training, sports instruction, or licence training.

This multi-sailing school is located on Plage des Dames, right next to La Potinière restaurant, and offers fully independent rental of catamarans, dinghies, sea kayaks, paddles and giant paddles. But if you're not up to speed with these nautical activities, you can also take private, introductory or advanced lessons with state-certified instructors (BPJEPS) in the following disciplines: paddle, catamaran and dinghy. Every Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., there's a supervised kayak trip.

The Barneville-Carteret nautical centre offers a wide range of services. Vests and wetsuits are available for hire. The school offers a full range of sailing and seafaring activities. From ages 4 to 6, little ones are welcomed to the sea garden. From 6 to 8, the little mousses climb aboard the Walker Bay, from 8 to 12 the Optimist and from 9 to 14 the Collective 316. As soon as you reach the right age, you'll embark on a 420, catamaran, windsurf or fun board. Our experienced staff will give you a warm welcome.

This base is dedicated to sailing and wind sports. Diving and other underwater sports are also practiced here. It's an offshoot and spot of ACAL, the Aquatic Club d'Alsace et de Lorraine, best known for wingfoil. The base remains open as long as weather conditions permit. The large clubhouse room is at your disposal for changing, sheltered from the wind and rain. If you're not yet a member of ACAL but would like to join the team, you can sign up on site.

Feel like taking to the sea? Come aboard this sublime historical reconstruction of 1716 and share a moment of pure conviviality for a sailing or rowing trip in the bay of Villefranche and its surroundings. For sailing, the skipper will give you each a "mission" to make this outing a unique moment. La Cabane Verte is a sailing school located in Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré, on the Ile de Ré. It offers a variety of nautical activities, including kayak rental, beginner and advanced surfing, wing foil, windsurfing and paddleboarding. Courses and private lessons are also available for catamaran and windsurfing, for beginners and advanced alike. The school provides the necessary equipment, such as wetsuits and life jackets, but it is advisable to bring a windbreaker for the catamaran.

The Albatross, under the direction of Philippe Naulleau, welcomes you in the beautiful setting of La Baule-Pornichet bay. The hotel is a beach club for children and a sailing school. The club offers you many activities: The Pass-Albatros (from 6 years old) with sailing in the morning and beach club in the afternoon, sailing baptisms, special courses, boat rentals for free outings, kayak and paddle rental, different formulas for groups and training or development courses.

Laurent Camus is a boat school instructor in La Rochelle. A sailing enthusiast from an early age, he teaches sailing in a simple and accessible way. His aim is to pass on his technical knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere of discovery.
