It's an incredible architectural ensemble: the 35-hectare Pôle Hippique de Saint-Lô boasts unrivalled facilities, including the former national stud farm and several riding arenas. A venue for prestigious events (equestrian shows and exhibitions such as the one dedicated to the Cadre Noir de Saumur in the summer of 2024), it is also a training and apprenticeship centre for lovers of the discipline, whatever their level. In a shaded pine forest, many activities around the horse and the pony are proposed to you in a family atmosphere: lessons for all levels, training courses, walks, games, voltiges. In this 10 hectare domain, you will find a sand dressage arena, a grass jumping arena, a round pen, a covered riding arena, a round pen, a paddock with shelters or boxes, a club house and a shaded area for rides. However, no horseback riding is offered for adults.

The site was originally a priory founded in 1120 by the monks of the congregation of Tiron. In 1890, the turfiste and breeder Edmond Blanc bought the domain and transformed it into stud. All existing buildings with the exception of barn have been razed and new buildings are receiving the breeding of purebred horses. The stud farms soon acquire an international reputation that does not wane when the domain was acquired by Marcel Boussac in 1920. In 1980, the State surrendered the stud stud and entrusted its management to the General Council of Hauts-de-Seine. In addition to riding lessons and courses, the Jumenterie is an equestrian centre which offers magnificent one to seven day rides in the heart of the Hautes-Vosges. They take place in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park for a minimum of three people. You will ride through the Vosges mountains towards the Grand Ventron, the Cresson, the route des Crêtes and the Alsatian vineyards. Horse lovers, this is a place not to be missed! Pony rides are available. The passionate ones can make an intensive training course of preparation to the FFE examinations.

Children and adults alike can take advantage of classic instruction, allowing them to choose the discipline they prefer. The center also offers boarding for horses and ponies, whether retired or not, in boxes or pre-boxes. Activities include leisure riding, equifun, dressage and show jumping. This place is reserved for equestrian competitions - stumbling breaks - and other equestrian events. Possibility to practice the winter polo, the winter shape of the game on a ground in sand and with a leather ball. No riding level is required: one of the magic of the polo is to learn to ride horseback by playing. In 2012, the European Pony Championships took place there. Located close to the Bois de Vincennes, where 18 km of cavalier tracks are found, this equestrian center, open to riders from 6 years old, offers both leisure and competition. In this countryside, which is only a few kilometers away from the capital, the «baby» (under 6 years), the «juniors» (aged 6 to 16) and, of course, beyond. A professional stable is also part of the circle.

Vincennes is the Mecca of trotting, a world reference. This 42-hectare racecourse has two tracks that can accommodate up to 35,000 people. The "Grande Piste" is 2,000 meters long and has a remarkable slope and very soft ground. Inside, the "Petite Piste" of 1,325 m is reserved for night races. The racecourse hosts more than 150 trotting meetings each year, including the Prix de France, the Prix du Président de la République, the Grand National du Trot and the famous Prix de l'Amérique. Activities are planned for children.

Initially intended for training, this racecourse was opened to the public in 1901, gradually becoming a must-see, to the point of having today a reputation and a notoriety extended to all of France. It is located on a plateau overlooking the Seine near the Val d'Or district of Clodoaldi and covers 75 hectares. On its 2,300-meter track, races known throughout France by horse racing fans take place. A nice moment to live in family!

On 40 ha the racecourse of Pau is the second in France after Auteuil for obstacle races. As a showcase for the city, the Pau meeting has become a mark of sporting excellence in Pau. From December to February, the winter meeting consists of 30 days of races with 239 races including quintés broadcast live on television. Classified as a National Pole, the Pau racecourse, thanks to the richness of its program, the quality of its facilities for men and horses, the very high level of services offered to professionals and the public, has no equivalent. As a leading trading center, it also attracts buyers looking for the rare pearl.
