VILLAGE DES BROCANTEURS

Braderie brocante et puce
5/5
1 review

Long abandoned, the castle of the Counts of Armagnac and the former hospital were invested by about thirty second-hand dealers in 2017. These historic places host stores with different universes: 1950s, baroque in the former chapel, period linens, vinyl records ... The basement galleries have been transformed into artist studios. Atypical place, the Village des Brocanteurs is worth a look and attracts thousands of visitors. The price is very high, so finding a good deal is a real challenge.

CHEZ GRAND-MERE

Braderie brocante et puce

Right next to the sales hall, this dealer is well known for the perpignanais perpignanais. Three walks full of wardrobes, buffets, tables and libraries of all styles, times and in all their states, if you can say. Some beautiful pieces are provided with a restoration by the master of the places, some other pieces sometimes in poor condition may be an opportunity to do a good deal. The prices are very correct and you are told the defects of the object that draw your attention. There are also large windows filled with trinkets and tinkering to satisfy all kinds of collectors.

BROCANTE DU CHATEAU DE GAYRAC

Braderie brocante et puce

The castle of Gayrac is a former monastery of the th century, the flea of which occupies the old barn and the hay barn left in the state. By walking freely you discover furniture from the region: lingère, low-end buffet, farm table, library, armchair, chair, toilet table in all styles. Furniture and crafts: bank counter… and unusual objects such as wood machine cutting linen. To stay in textiles: embroidered fabrics, sheets and old curtains, and continue in natural materials, we could talk about ceramics and wicker baskets. You will also find an antique part.

BROCANTE PIERREJEAN

Braderie brocante et puce

In the middle of the hotel you can find this tiny pedestrian street in front of Saint-Alpine church. A model, a table and an ensign draw the eye to this beautiful house, which is set up in a boutique. We move from one piece to the other, caressing from the eye or hand to furniture from a variety of times, from sometimes narrow aisles. Rustic cabinets, secretaries in good condition, show their patina. Old objects complement the framework: crockery of yesteryear, chandeliers, lamps, crystal or bronze, gramophone with or without pavilion, military or pretty trinkets… Patrick Pierrejean buys and sells.

On the first Sunday of every season, St. Lawrence Street and the quays become a huge flea market. This flea is appreciated by the Grenoble since we can find here a thousand and one thing: from the beautiful stamp to the vacuum cleaner. The stands of the dealers are worth a visit. They have beautiful things: furniture, crockery, silverware, linen, trinkets. Some rooms, real curiosities, are worthy of a museum. However, good business is rare. The price must be put there. The less fortunate can take advantage of the private stands and who can browse…

MARCHÉ AUX PUCES

Braderie brocante et puce

The Sunday flea market is an opportunity for the people of Sète and bargain hunters to stroll through the streets of the Ile Singulière, to rummage through the stalls in search of a little dress, a decorative object, a pair of cheap pants, a bag, a book... A hundred or so stalls are set up on this square where the atmosphere is pleasant. Here, we chat, we stroll, we have a little pleasure. A nice program after having taken its coffee of Sunday in the sun, baguette of bread under the arm, some coins in the pocket.
