The first International Gourmet Water Competition organized in Paris by the AVPA honoured 50 succulent waters from 20 countries. Tasters, doctors, representatives of the French Culinary Academy and the founder of "eaux du monde" awarded the best waters in different categories. France shone, silver and bronze in the "flat of character" category for Thonon de Haute-Savoie and Velleminfroy de Franche-Comté, silver medal for Treignac de Corrèze in "light flat", and gold medal for Vernière du Haut Languedoc. The Swedish water Are has been unanimously acclaimed with two gold medals in the category "light sparkling" and "light flat", it is distributed in shops with top-of-the-range services and in the country's large tables.
