Who is Le Petit Futé

Petit Futé has been publishing city guides and tourist and travel guides for 30 years. Petit Futé covers more than 400 destinations in France and around the world, including 80 exclusive destinations. In 2008, more than 3 million tourists chose Le Petit Futé to organise their stays.

Where do the addresses on Le Petit Futé website come from?

Two types of addresses are referenced on Le Petit Futé website.

The addresses tested by our editors: you will easily recognise them because they have the Petit Futé logo, and have a Petit Futé review. These addresses are the ones that are displayed first when using the search engine.

The addresses suggested by Internet users or professionals: they are clearly identified by the message "suggestion – no review of Petit Futé ". You will be able to discover other addresses but this time, it is without the guarantees of Le Petit Futé. It's up to you to judge and don't forget to share your experience with us!

Who writes the Petit Futé reviews?

The reviews of Petit Futé are prepared by our teams of writers. They are over 400 to be permanently on site in France and around the world and are responsible for selecting and testing different places. They are local authors who know their town, region or country very well.

Why does Le Petit Futé seek the opinion of Internet users?

Our readers have always shared their discoveries and experiences with us and thus contributed to enriching and updating the information gathered by our editors.

The performance of a site can evolve between two visits by our editors and that is why we want to allow members to give their opinion in real time in order to better guide our visitors. For the opinions to be useful, they are all subject to moderation before publication.

How to find or search for an establishment?

To carry out your search, you can use the address search engine on the home page of the site or use the general search engine on all pages of the site in the upper middle.

Can I send an address to a friend?

Feel free to share your good tips with your friends. On each establishment form there is a link which allows you to share this address with one or more of your friends via social networks.

Why should I give my review on the Petit Futé website?

Our readers have always shared their discoveries and experiences with us and thus contributed to enriching and updating the information gathered by our editors of Petit Futé on site in France and around the world.

How to give my opinion?

Were you delighted or disappointed by an establishment? Find the file of the establishment or place and give your opinion.

How to evaluate an establishment, a place?

Once on the form of the establishment you wish to rate, you can click on "be the first to give a review "if no one has yet given their review, or on "give your review".

You must then give a rating to the establishment from the lowest (one star) to the highest (5 stars). Then write your opinion (50 characters minimum) giving the most precise arguments to help the readers.

Your review will be moderated before publication.

How to recommend an address?

To suggest a place, you must be a member. You can suggest an address from your member area by clicking on the suggest a place link on the left side of the page.

Why has my review not yet been published?

My review has not been published. To be published, any review must be validated by our moderator. The notification is generally validated within 72 business hours. Our selection criteria are as follows: a review must be argued, more than 50 characters long and in accordance with good morals and conditions of use. Le Petit Futé reserves the right to refuse inappropriate review.

I can't find the address I'm looking for, what can I do?

If you can't find an address, it's because it's not yet listed on the Petit Futé website! You can suggest it to us using the form provided for this purpose. This service is for members only.

What kind of places can I suggest?

You can suggest any type of address (shopping, restaurant, hotel, etc.). When creating the record establishment you will be asked to classify it in a category. Be as specific as possible to allow us to process it as soon as possible. Before suggesting an establishment check that it is not already referenced on the site.

I found two forms for the same establishment, what should I do?

If you notice that there are two forms for a single establishment, do not hesitate to let us know via the link_contact form.

Why do some establishment forms have a Petit Futé plate and not others?

The presence of the Petit Futé plate distinguishes between the addresses that have been tested by our editors and those suggested by members of the Petit Futé community or professionals.

Why become a member?

In in becoming a member you benefit from many services. You can:

  • publish reviews on places that you know
  • suggest new places, top deals
  • participate in contests and win gifts: regularly, a contest is on display on petitfute.com. It shall be drawn by lot from among the members.
  • browse faster by saving your favorites (a destination, an address, a member) in your space

What is the purpose of my traveller's profile?

When you create your member account, your traveller's profile is automatically generated, which allows you:

  • Sending a personal message to another member.
  • Uploader your travel pictures.
  • Collecting foxies so as to get guides for free! For further information.
  • complete your virtual world travel map....
  • etc

How to become a member?

To become a member you just need to create an account..Click on Log in at the top right of the site.

What are Foxies, how to earn them, and what is their use?

Foxies are points that you earn when you participate in the community.

On reaching different levels, you can then obtain guides of your choice for free!

Your number of foxies may be updated on the website within 12 hours.

What are the "review filling steps"?

To encourage our members to submit reviews on places, Petit Futé regularly organizes (generally once at the end of each month) review filing operations that generally last a few days.

These operations allow Internet users to receive digital or paper guides free of charge after filing a number of reviews.

All information is specified on the filing of reviews page when an operation is in progress.

How to know if such an operation is in progress?

When an operation is in progress, we promote it on our website, but you can subscribe to our newsletter to systematically receive a notification.

Warning: The "review filing operation" are perfectly distinct from the cumulated Foxies.

Manage my account

Why is the validity of my email address important?

Your email address is the only way we can contact you, so it is very important that it is a valid and personal address. If you have lost your password, we will use this email address to send you a new one. We may also contact you by e-mail if you win a prize in our competition.

How to change my email address?

When you are connected, click on the modify my account. tab You can then enter your e-mail address in the fields provided. Don't forget to validate the changes by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page.

I forgot or lost my password, what should I do?

In the login form, click on the link "forgot your password?" and enter your email address. An email will be sent with a new password so that you can connect to your account. You can then modify it.

How to change my password?

When you are connected, click on the modify my account. tab You can then enter your current password and the new password in the fields provided. Don't forget to validate the changes by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page.

Can I change my login?

Your login is displayed in different parts of the website, but also allows you to connect to your member area. It is your unique ID on the website and in our database. It is therefore impossible to change it.

How to manage subscriptions/unsubscriptions to the newsletter and/or commercial offers of Petit Futé's partners?

You can manage all your subscriptions/unsubscriptions from the modify my account. tab

Don't forget to click on "validate" to confirm your modification.

An unsubscribe link is also present on each of our partners' newsletters and commercial offers.

How to change my avatar?

You can choose an avatar among the 15 suggestions in the "profile" tab of your personal space.

How to change my city?

You can change your city in the "profile" tab of your personal space.

How to modify a review I have written?

All the reviews that you have written are recorded in your traveller's profile. You can change them if you wish.

How to unsubscribe from the newsletter?

You can unsubscribe in the "account" tab of your personal space or through the unsubscribe link present in every newsletter sent to you.

How to deactivate my account?

You must first log in, then click on the "modify my account" tab. You will then find a link in red: "delete my account".
Warning: this action is irreversible.

Your profile will be deleted but the reviews that you have written and your suggestions will remain visible to users.
