Detail of the stay : Saqsaywaman on horseback full-day - 1 day
Day 1: Cusco - Saqsaywaman Archaeological Park
Meet at the equestrian area just beside the saqsaywaman sign north of Cusco at around 9am.
You'll put on your helmet and put your foot in the stirrup to start your horseback ride through Inca ruins and magnificent landscapes.
Your first stop is at the "Devil's Balcony", or "Apu Chakam" as it's really called, a sort of rock balcony. And continue your ride to Lanlakuyoc, the tunnels that the last Incas used to escape from the Spanish troops.
Then it's back in the saddle to the ranch, where you can have lunch in front of the horses and other animals (not included).
After lunch, you'll head off in the direction of the Temple of the Moon, where you'll be able to take some great photos, including of the city of Cusco!
After that, you'll ride on to a viewpoint overlooking the archaeological site of Inkilltambo, where, as at Moray, experiments with corn and potato crops have been carried out on the terraces at different altitudes. You'll then head off in the direction of Chuspiyoq, also known as "The Face of the Inca", which probably served as a ceremonial site in Inca times. After that, all that's left for you to do is return to the ranch (at a trot or a gallop, as you wish!)
