DAY 1: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

Steps: Cusco

Departure at 7:00 am. By tourist group transport, the first visit is to the archaeological site of Chinchero, 30 km from the city of Cusco, the city is an Inca textile center where we will learn about the wool process and its pigmentation. We continue to the archeological site of Moray, an Inca agricultural research center where cultivation experiments (potato, corn...) were carried out on different terraces.

We then continue on to the Maras salt mines, which consist of over 3,000 natural salt pits, each measuring 5 square metres. The 3,000 basins are fed by a hypersaline underground spring that originated 110 million years ago during the formation of the Andes mountains.

After all these discoveries, it's time for a buffet lunch, and we continue for 30 minutes to the town of Ollantaytambo, where we visit the archaeological site of the Lama Temple. We'll then board the train (departure 4:36 pm) to Aguas Calientes, the town that leads to Machupicchu.

Hotel included and dinner on your own, we'll have a briefing at the hotel with our Machupicchu specialist guide, with whom we'll visit the site the following day.

DAY 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes - Cusco

Steps: Cusco

After breakfast, we start our day at Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes, which involves an hour and 30-minute uphill walk (bus travel is optional). We enter the Machu Picchu sanctuary at 8:00 am and begin the group tour with our expert Machu Picchu guide, which lasts around 2 hours and 30 minutes to cover all circuits 1, 2, 3 and 4. You'll then have free time to enjoy the site and take photos.

We then return to Aguas Calientes, where you can explore the village at your leisure and enjoy lunch. At 2.30pm, we board the train for the return journey to Ollantaytambo, which takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Our tourist transport will be ready to take us to the city of Cusco.

We arrive in Cusco at San Francisco Square at 7pm.
