On arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted with your transfer. You will then be taken by private vehicle to your hotel for refreshments and relaxation. The rest of the day is free to relax at your hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, set off to discover the Makola market, where you'll explore stalls filled with colorful fabrics, such as wax and kente. Then, head to the Accra Art Center to buy unique souvenirs and local handicrafts, from wood carvings to beaded jewelry.

Enjoy a welcome lunch at a local restaurant to savor traditional Ghanaian dishes. In the afternoon, collaborate with a local designer to create bespoke garments from your chosen fabrics, a unique and elegant souvenir of your trip. Return to the Kempinski Hotel to relax and enjoy your evening.

After breakfast, departure for Cape Coast (approx. 145 km, 3 hours). Discover the moving story of the transatlantic slave trade on a guided tour of Cape Coast Castle, including a visit to the poignant "Gate of No Return". After the tour, explore the castle museum.

Then enjoy an oceanfront lunch at a local restaurant, savoring fresh seafood and spectacular coastal scenery.

In the afternoon, head to Kakum National Park for an exhilarating adventure on the suspended walkway offering panoramic views of the lush rainforest. A visit to the park museum is also included, with activities suitable for children. Return to Accra for a relaxing evening at the Kempinski Hotel.

Depart Accra airport for a 30-minute domestic flight to Kumasi. On arrival, begin your journey to discover Ashanti heritage with a visit to the Manhyia Palace Museum, a former royal residence turned cultural center. Admire the rich history and customs of the Ashanti kingdom.

Continue to the site of the Okomfo Anokye sword, planted by the powerful priest, symbolizing the strength and unity of the Ashanti people. Then visit the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum to discover the captivating history of the Ashanti kings, their struggles and successes.

Experience 2 hours of cultural immersion as you learn to wear Kente cloth and traditional sandals. Be introduced to vibrant Ashanti drumming and dancing, before witnessing a spectacular traditional dance performance in colorful costumes, paying homage to Ashanti heritage. Set off from Kumasi to explore the famous surrounding craft villages. First stop: Adanwomase, where you discover the art of Kente weaving and its importance in Ashanti culture. Next, head for the Kente Museum in Bonwire, a 15-minute drive away, to learn more about the history of this emblematic textile and admire the work of the weavers.

Continue on to Ntonso, famous for Adinkra printing, a traditional art used to create symbolic patterns on fabric. End the day in Kwamo, where you'll take part in an authentic Ashanti Nomination Ceremony, presided over by the Paramount Chief and the Queen. Dressed in your traditional outfits, learned the day before, you will receive an Ashanti name during this unique ceremony, marking your link with Ashanti cultural heritage and providing you with unforgettable memories.

  • Ewe Borbor percussion and dance show, rich in rhythm and energy
  • Relaxation at the Royal Senchi Resort overlooking the Adomi Bridge, Lake Volta and the green mountains

Head for the Tafi Atome monkey sanctuary, with a stopover in Somanya to visit the Cedi Beads factory. Learn the art of beadmaking from recycled materials and support local artisans by purchasing beautiful souvenirs.

Continue on to Tafi Atome, a cultural village housing a sacred sanctuary where monkeys and humans live side by side. Hike through the forest, admire the scenery and discover the ancestral traditions of protecting this unique wildlife.

After checking out of your hotel, depart for Accra International Airport (approx. 120 km, 2 hours). Arrive with plenty of time for check-in and boarding formalities.

If your flight is late, a day-use room at the Lancaster Hotel will allow you to freshen up or relax by the pool before your departure.
