Detail of the stay : 7 jours Nairobi-Samburu-Ol Pejeta-Lac Naivasha-Mara - 7 days

Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu

On arrival at the airport, you'll be met by the company's driver-guide, an experienced guide who will take care of you and help make your trip worthwhile. The safari starts early in the morning and takes around 7-8 hours to your destination. Head north and cross the equator line, which runs very close to Kenya's highest mountain. Arrive at lunchtime, then around 4 p.m. the safaris begin. Later, enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Explore the Samburu National Reserve

Wake up early before sunrise for a morning safari in search of wild animals. Samburu is home to the famous BIG FIVE (lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino and leopard). You also have the chance to see the special five, animals that are only available in the northern part of Kenya: the Grevy's zebra, the gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich and the small kundu.

After the morning safari, return to the lodge for breakfast, after which you'll have time to enjoy other hotel facilities such as swimming. Later in the evening, return for another safari in search of animals not spotted in the morning.

After sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight (lion, elephant buffalo, rhino and leopard). You also have the chance to see the special five, animals that are only available in the northern part of Kenya.

Day 3: Samburu - Ol Pejeta Conservatory

Ol Pejeta lies at the foot of Mount Kenya, Kenya's highest mountain. What's more, the 90,000-acre private wildlife reserve is located on the equator, at the crossroads of the southern and northern hemispheres. The reserve is known for its high concentration of white and black rhino, chimpanzee sanctuary among other animals such as lions, bush elephants, water buffalo, cheetahs, antelopes, including different types of bird species, to name but a few.

Arrive at a great time for lunch from Samburu, then leave later in the afternoon for the afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta - Lac Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is the only freshwater lake in Kenya's Great Rift Valley region. The 139 km² lake is home to hippos, fish and hundreds of water birds. The town named after the lake serves as a sleepover spot to cut the long distances between the Mount Kenya region and the Masai Mara. A variety of activities are available in the area, including horseback riding, nature walks to the island and more.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Naivasha for the famous Masai country after an early breakfast. The drive takes around 5 hours to the main gate of the national reserve. Large herds of cattle belonging to the Masai community greet you along the highway as you graze or en route to the sheds. Arrive at a good time for lunch, have some time to relax and leave later for the late afternoon safari.

Day 6: Explore Masai Mara

Box lunches are provided and served to you by your driver-guide at a convenient location in the park, allowing you to spend more time in the park rather than rushing off for lunch.

This World Heritage Site offers a wide variety of animal sightings, from the famous BIG FIVE animals to large antelopes, scavengers, zebras, giraffes, THE UGLY FIVE animals as well as over 400 species of birds recorded in the reserve.

Other activities, including hot-air balloon safaris, are available and allow you to fly higher and higher until you understand why the Masai called the reserve MARA. A visit to the Masai community is also another activity, in which these additional activities can be arranged at extra cost. cost.
