Stay : MIKUMI DAY SAFARI

In the morning, you'll begin your Zanzibar safari, flying in a light aircraft to the Mikumi; the park has a fashionable centerpiece, the "Mkata floodplains", which attract frequent comparisons with the more famous plains of the Serengeti. On arrival at the Kikoboga airstrip, you'll be greeted by our driver guide, who will explain the program of your day trip.

You'll head straight for a safari in Mikumi's richest and best-loved part, the Mkata floodplains. This plain is renowned for its concentrations, abundance and excellent wildlife sightings. Ideally home to large herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hyena, leopard, lion, sable antelope, greater kudu and eland, the world's largest antelope.

At midday, you'll take a lunch break, during which you'll be served a hot meal. Then you'll continue your journey by exploring Mikumi's centerpiece, the famous hippo pool, where wild animals, including elephants and lions, come to drink.

Later, you'll make your way to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar, after an unforgettable day's excursion.
