Day 1: drive to Tarangire National Park

You will depart from Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park in the morning, arriving before 11:00am at the park. Once in the park, you can enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive with a delicious lunch. In the early evening, after your game drive, you will exit the park and make your way to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

The main attractions of Tarangire National Park are seeing large herds of elephants and massive baobab trees, more than 550 bird species (migratory and permanent), abundant biodiversity, and the famous Tarangire River.

Day 2: Safari in Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart from Tarangire National Park and make your way to the famous Serengeti National Park. En route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will have a chance to see the Ngorongoro Crater before reaching the Serengeti gate. After lunch, you will head out on an afternoon game drive and return to the camp before sunset. Your dinner will be at the campsite.

The main attractions of the Serengeti National Park are the annual wildebeest migration, rolling grasslands, and many predators (leopards, cheetahs, and lions). The park has also been voted the best national park in Africa by the World Travelers Awards in 2020 and Traveller's Choice.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Today, you will head out early on your morning game drive to witness a magnificent African sunrise in the bush. Enjoy a coffee and experience the wilderness and its magnificent creatures as they wake up among the dew-covered grasses. Later, you will head back to camp for breakfast and to relax. In the afternoon, you will head out once more for another chance to explore the plains in search of African wildlife as you exit the park. Finally, make your way to your accommodation in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The benefit of an early morning game drive is that it is the best time to spot the animals and birds as they are more active than in the afternoon. It also allows you to experience predators on a hunt and capture lovely pictures in beautiful light.

Day 4: The rhinoceros house - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart the campsite with a picnic lunch and descend into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. Explore the magnificent world of diversity within, surrounded by the imposing walls that encircle the reserve. It is possible to see all of Africa's Big Five within the crater among a vast array of other wildlife, including hundreds of bird species. Enjoy a full day in the crater before returning to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Visiting the Ngorongoro Crater is magical; its natural landscapes, the Big Five, Masaai tribespeople living among the wild animals, and the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on earth all add to its splendor.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

You will make your way into the reserve and head to Lake Manyara in the morning. Explore the magnificent park that is dominated by a large lake. You can expect to see thousands of flamingos flock to the lake, providing some exceptional bird sightings. Enjoy a picnic lunch alongside the lake before continuing your afternoon game drive until evening. the park is famous for tree-climbing lions.

later, you will exit the park and head back to Arusha for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6: Materuni Coffee Tour and waterfalls

Steps: Moshi

After an early breakfast, you will depart from the hotel and proceed to Materuni Waterfalls. It is a 2-hour drive to Materuni village, located at the bottom of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will enjoy your picnic lunch and hike 30 minutes to Materuni Waterfalls, about 80m high, to swim and explore nature.

In the village, you will learn about their traditions and customs and how the local people, who are Chagga, grow and process the coffee for subsistence use. Then, you will visit a coffee farm, pick coffee and make your own strong coffee locally. Later, you will be taken to your accommodation in Moshi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: From Kilimanjaro to Gombe National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma.

On arrival, you will be transferred to Ujiji. In this village, you will visit Dr. Livingstone's memorial center and learn about the history of the slave trade and the journeys and missionary activities of Dr. David Livingstone.

Then you will be transferred to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe National Park, where on arrival, you will be transferred to the guesthouse for a hot lunch before starting your gorilla or chimpanzee trek tour.

Gombe National Park is a superb location for chimpanzee trekking and walking safaris where you will see a variety of wildlife (velvet- and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, and dik-diks) and tropical birds. The park is also home to the Dr. Livingstone memorial center.

Day 8: Gombe stream

At 8:30am you will start with the chimpanzee tracking in the forest. You will also climb Jane's peak and visit Kakombe waterfalls (if time allows).

Gombe National Park became well known for the conservation project started by Jane Goodall, who first arrived in Gombe in 1960. Besides gorilla and chimpanzee viewing, many other primates live in the tropical forests of the park. These primates include Colobus monkeys and baboons.

Day 9: Morning walk in Kigoma

Steps: Gombe National Park

After breakfast, you will start with your gorilla or chimpanzee trekking. The trekking routes will take you through different valleys and forests and to the Mkenge waterfall. At 12:00am you will be back for lunch. You will have time to pack before you transfer back to Kigoma. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Kigoma.

Day 10: Kigoma to Dar Es Salaam to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport for your flight to Dar Es Salaam. Then you will connect to another flight taking you to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will have time to relax before embarking on a tour of the island the following day.

Day 11: Tour of Zanzibar town and prison island

After breakfast at 8:00am, you will start a city tour exploring Zanzibar. You will visit buildings and local markets in Stone Town and gain an understanding of the area's archipelago.

You will visit the Old Slave Market and the Old Fort. In addition, you will see several famous houses in the area, for example, Freddie Mercury's (the first East African building to have an elevator), the home of the then enslaver Tippu Tip and a famous local inn, the Princess Salme Inn.

We will also introduce you to the fascinating styles of doorways here in Zanzibar (Indian and Arab style), which were built many years ago and is still visible today.

At 1:00pm, enjoy lunch at a picnic site or local restaurant. From here, the tour continues toward Prison Island. The island is a tranquil place to visit, and many giant tortoises (some as old as 100 years) walk around. Next, you will hear about colonial history and how prisons were ruined. Finally, your guide will lead you back to your hotel in town.

Day 12: Relaxing on the beach

Today you will have a wonderful day relaxing on the white, sandy beaches of Zanzibar, all while enjoying the ocean view. You can spend your time swimming, playing beach soccer, volleyball, and dancing. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the lodge.

Day 13: Visit to the Jozani forest and dolphins

At 8:00am, you will have breakfast at your hotel, and at 9:00am you will be picked up and depart for your swim with dolphins. Dolphins are very friendly mammals.

Soon after arriving at the site, you will be briefed and given safety gear. Then, you will board the boat and start cruising the sea. It is essential to listen to the instructions of the boatmen on the cruise for your safety. In addition, you will have a wonderful opportunity to take photos and create lasting memories.

After a while, you will head to Jozani Forest, near the site, to explore the red Colobus monkeys, birds, and other animals.

Continue your trip by walking the Pete-Jozani Mangrove. This mangrove forest provides a home for lizards, snakes, birds, and other reptiles and makes up an essential part of the Zanzibar ecosystem.

Later in the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 14: relax on the beach

Enjoy a lovely day at the beach. Relax and take in the environment around you. Participate in beach games you have yet to have a chance to participate in. Enjoy the sun, food, and friendly local staff that caters to your needs. Do not forget to wear sunscreen.

Day 15: Spice tour and excursion to Kendwa and Nungwi beaches

Enjoy your breakfast at 8:30am before you depart for the Spice islands at 9:00am. Then, we will take you on a spice tour at an organic spice farm, where you will see where the spices are planted, cultivated, harvested, packed, and processed throughout the year.

Zanzibar is a small island but one of the best spice producers. Spices and herbs include clove, lemongrass, turmeric, vanilla, copra, black pepper, chilly, cardamon, nutmeg, cinnamon, and many others.

You will have lunch at around 1:00pm. Then after lunch, you will have a market trip to buy spices and herbs (only cash as accepted). You will see people from all over the world purchase spices at the market. I hope you take some to your country.

After the spice tour, we will take you to Kendwa beach, where you can swim and sunbathe. Then, we will take you to your hotel later that evening.

Day 16: Snorkeling at Michamvi

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel at 8:00am and be ready for our guide to collect you at 9:00am. Today you will experience a 3-hour snorkeling trip. You will depart an hour before low tide and return to Michamvi 3 hours later.

Your driver will drop you off at Michamvi beach. After a walk of about 100m down to the beach, the snorkeling boat will be waiting for you. It takes about 20 minutes on the boat to reach the snorkeling spot, where the boat will anchor while you are snorkeling.

The best snorkeling is during low tide, as there is no current, and you will get a closer and better look at the fish and coral. Your guide will take you through the coral and show you the different fish.

Some fish you may encounter are the Moorish idol, sergeant major (zebrafish), pufferfish, lionfish, parrotfish, damsel, anemonefish (also known as Nemo), and many more. You will snorkel inside the shore reef, protected from the ocean waves. Later that evening, you will be taken back to your accommodation.

Day 17: Swim with dolphins

Today you will enjoy a swim with dolphins. Our guide will pick you up from your lodge before sunrise and take you to Kizimkazi. Kizimkazi is a great place to swim with dolphins, and you can take photos as the dolphins swim right next to the motorboat. Finally, we will take you back to your lodge, or we can arrange a transfer to the airport.
