Day 1: PARIS - HANOÏ

Flight to Hanoi. Meals and overnight in flight.

Day 2: HANOÏ

Arrival in Hanoi, welcome and assistance at the airport by our representative. Transfer to the city. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 3: HANOÏ - HOA LU - NINH BINH

Steps: Ninh Binh, Hoa Lu

We have breakfast. Departure to visit Hô Chi Minh's house and the One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, a magnificent multi-building edifice built in 1070 during the reign of Ly Thanh Tông to celebrate the cult of Confucius and his 72 principal disciples. Lunch in a local restaurant. Departure for Ninh Binh. Departure for a visit to the Bai Dinh pagoda, the largest pagoda in Vietnam. Built in 1136 under the Ly dynasty (1009-1225), the ancient temple stands on Mount Dinh, which rises to 187 meters. Visit by electric car. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: NINH BINH - HALONG

Steps: Ninh Binh, Halong City

We have breakfast. Depart by bike for a visit to the Thai Vi temple, then continue by bike to the Thung Nang site, which you'll discover by traditional boat. After lunch, departure for Halong. Check-in at your hotel. Puppet show on the water. Dinner in a Halong restaurant. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 5: HALONG BAY - HANOI - HUE

Steps: Hue, Halong City

We have breakfast. Morning cruise to discover the many karst islands emerging from the turquoise waters of Halong Bay. Seafood lunch served on board. Halong Bay covers more than 1,500 km² and features almost 3,000 islands and islets. It's undoubtedly one of Asia's most sumptuous landscapes. The bay's waters are teeming with fish, crabs and shrimp. Visit the caves. Drive to Hanoi, visiting a ceramics factory in Dong Trieu. Arrival in Hanoi. Dinner in Hanoi. Transfer to the station for the Hanoi - Hué night train (4-bed cabin). Overnight on the train.

Hué is the former imperial capital of Vietnam (1802-1954). Now the imperial residence and seat of the court, Hué acquired great prestige and refinement, reflected in its architecture, music and cuisine. The Forbidden City was partially destroyed in 1885 and again in 1947.

Day 6: HUÉ

Steps: Hue

Arrival in Hué. Breakfast in the form of a basket on the train. Transfer to the Pagoda of the Heavenly Lady by boat on the Perfume River, so named because in autumn, the flowers of the fruit trees along the river then perfumed the city of Hué. You'll continue your discovery of the ancient imperial city with the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, built between 1865 and 1867, followed by the Imperial City of Hué, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch and dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: HUÉ - COL DES NUAGES - DANANG - HOI AN

Steps: Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue

Enjoy breakfast. Stroll through the shady streets to the bustling Dong Ba market. Departure for Hoi An via the Cloud Pass along the coast, with a beautiful view of the Lang Co peninsula. Stop to visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountain. This place of pilgrimage and spiritual retreat features several Buddhist pagodas, relics of Champa civilizations, and mountain caves (these visits can take place on the morning of day 9). Arrival in Hoi An. Lunch in a local restaurant. Culinary discovery: "Banh Vac", "white rose", white rice paste stuffed with meat and shrimp for lunch. Visit the town of Hoi An, one of the four Vietnamese sites listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the market, the Japanese bridge, an ancient house and a Chinese congregation. Dinner in town. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 8: HOI AN

Steps: Hoi An

Breakfast on board. Free time to stroll around the old town and enjoy the beach. Hoi An is nicknamed "Little Venice" for its Japanese and Chinese-influenced canals and small bridges. In the past, Hoi An was called Faifo in French, the official name during the colonial period. Hoi An, with over 800 buildings of historic interest, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: HOI AN - HÔ CHI MINH

Steps: Hoi An

Breakfast time. Free morning. Lunch at a local restaurant in Hoi An. Continuation to Danang in the afternoon, transfer to the station and overnight in a sleeper train (4-6 berth cabin). Dinner on board in the form of a packed lunch. Overnight on the train.

Comfort option: Flight Da Nang - Hô-Chi-Minh City. Morning at leisure. Lunch on board. Then departure for Da Nang airport. Flight to Hô-Chi-Minh City. Welcome by your guide and driver, then transfer to Hô-Chi-Minh City. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 10: HÔ CHI MINH

Arrive in the morning, transfer to the city for breakfast and discover the city. It's both the country's largest city and Vietnam's economic powerhouse. On arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you'll be impressed by the traffic. Pass by the central post office built by Gustave Eiffel, a magnificent Art Deco building. Visit a lacquerware workshop at the History Museum, which holds some 17,000 precious antique objects. Lunch in a local restaurant. Check-in at the hotel, followed by free time to explore bustling Saigon at your own pace. Dinner at a local restaurant with southern specialties. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 11: HÔ CHI MINH - PARIS

Transfer to Hô Chi Minh City airport. Transfer to Hô Chi Minh City airport. Check-in formalities and boarding. Flight to Paris. Meals and overnight on board.
