Stay : Visit of the cave and its educational path

It is the largest underground network in the Périgord. More than 13 km have been explored to date. The infiltration waters have created one of the most beautiful natural sceneries. You will be able to admire impressive calcite flows, fine stalactites, translucent draperies and countless stalagmites. Prehistoric paintings have been discovered. Made more than 19,000 years ago, they are the authentic testimony of the art of our ancestors. Some of them, like the horse rotunda, are covered with a thin film of calcite which gives them their particular blue color. You will be able to admire the scene of the bison and the sorcerer, one of the rare human representations of the prehistoric art. In addition to the guided tour, the prehistoric garden presents you in a playful and educational way the Cro Magnon man and his environment.
