Stay : 9 days: Safari & Zanzibar experience

You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our staff will answer any questions you may have regarding your upcoming safari and will also provide you with a briefing. You will then be driven to your accommodation at the Kibo Palace Hotel.

We leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park. This park covering about 2850 square kilometers is spectacular during the dry season when many migratory wildlife species return to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, elephant, eland and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the rains begin when they migrate back to good grazing areas.

After breakfast we head to the central part of the Serengeti. This park is well known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, especially the "big five", named after the five most prized trophies by hunters: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

After breakfast, we will depart for the central Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch and game drive en route. Serengeti, among other incredible wildlife and breathtaking views, is famous for the annual migration of more than 1.5 million wildebeest and one hundred thousand zebra, a frenetic episode of territorial conquests and mating that takes place from July through October. Witness true survival of the fittest as these animals dive into crocodile-infested waters. The wildebeest produce more than 8,000 calves a day before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

After breakfast, we will drive to Ngorongoro for the crater tour with picnic descent to the crater floor for the day tour. Some 20,000 mammals live in the area including about 20 black rhinoceros, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see these amazing creatures. The crater floor also has one of the highest carnivore densities in the world. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals are commonly seen, while leopards, servals, and bat-eared foxes may be seen with some luck.

Zanzibar

After breakfast we return to Arusha for lunch. You will then take a flight from Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport to Zanzibar in the afternoon.

After breakfast, you will take a guided tour of the Stone City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the footsteps of the Arab sultans in Zanzibar and reflect on the interesting historical sites and labyrinths. Discover the actual gates of Zanzibar, famous for their unique architectural tradition.

After lunch, we will take a drive through the countryside to the spice plantations. This place has a rich history and you will be greeted by the rich aroma of spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon. Then we take you to Kisiwa on the beach for your 3 nights.
