Detail of the stay : 6 Days Marangu Route - 6 days
Day 1: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut (2,700m)
Hike through lush rainforest filled with monkeys and tropical birds.
hiking Time: 5 hours
Day 2: Mandara to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
trek through moorlands and heathers, enjoying views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.
hiking Time: 6 hours
Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut
short hike to Zebra Rocks (4,000m) or Mawenzi Hut (4,200m) and return for rest.
Day 4: Horombo to Kibo Hut (4,700m)
cross "The Saddle" to Kibo Hut and rest before summit night.
hiking Time: 4-5 hours
Day 5: Summit Attempt - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak - Descend to Horombo Hut
midnight climb to the summit for breathtaking sunrise views.
hiking Time: 10-12 hours
Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate - Return to Arusha
descend through rainforest to Marangu Gate, collect certificates, and return to Arusha.
