Day 2

Delhi & New Delhi

After breakfast, departure for a tour of the republic's capital. Delhi, with a population of around 26 million, is divided into New Delhi and Old Delhi.

Chandni Chowk, the old-style commercial district, the jama masjid mosque, glimpse of the Red Fort, India Gate (triumphal arch), Rajpath (presidential palace), visit to Qutab minar, visit to the famous SIKH temple etc. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 3

Delhi > Jodhpur (transfer by domestic flight)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Jodhpur, according to the flight schedule available at the time of booking.

Afternoon free for a walk in the old town near the clock tower, local spice and vegetable market. Overnight at hotel.


Day 4

Visit Jodhpur

Jodhpur, the blue city of the desert. Visit Mehrangarh Fort at your own pace, dominating the landscape for miles around and housing palaces decorated with mural frescoes and stone lacework, stroll through the city.

In the afternoon, visit the Mandore garden and the royal cenotaphs. Overnight at your hotel.


Day 5

- Jawai region (3h drive)

After breakfast, departure for Jawai, on arrival installation in the camp.

The Jawai region lies in the Pali district of Rajasthan, and is renowned for its fascinating wildlife and picturesque landscapes. The area is particularly famous for its leopard population, which coexists with the locals in remarkable harmony. Jawai leopards can often be seen in the rocky hills and ravines, where they find shelter and food.

In the afternoon leopard safari by jeep or next morning depending on season and availability, remaining free time to relax. Overnight in tents.

Day 6

Jawai > Ranakpur > Udaipur (1h+2h drive)

After breakfast, departure for Ranakpur and visit to the 15th-century Adinath temple. This important and beautifully crafted sanctuary is one of the jewels of Jain architecture. The Jain temple is open to non-Jains at midday.

Continuation to Udaipur, the romantic white city also known as the Venice of the East, which will seduce you with its luminosity and romanticism. Overnight at hotel.


Day 7

Visit Udaipur

Overlooking the city of Udaipur and Lake Pichola, the Maharana's City Palace houses interesting collections of weapons and miniatures, as well as a veritable maze of courtyards and gardens, halls and salons decorated with mirrors, ceramics and paintings. Visit the Jagdish temple (17th century), home to a black stone statue of Vishnu in the guise of Jagannath, the lord of the universe.

Visit the "Saheliyon ki bari" garden, built exclusively for the women of the royal family by one of the Maharajas. A haven of peace and greenery, the garden abounds in flowers such as bougainvillea and lotus blossoms.

Stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, teeming with merchants and boutiques. Boat trip on Lake Pichola. Overnight stay at hotel.


Day 8

Udaipur > Chittorgarh > Pushkar (2h+4h drive)

After breakfast, departure for Pushkar. On the way, visit the Chittorgarh fortress (the most beautiful in Rajasthan), towering imposingly above the plain. Chittorgarh is an exceptional site, 150 m above sea level; a dark mass where everything breathes the tragedy of those who, sword in hand, threw themselves in front of certain death, rather than succumb to their assailants. In the citadel, you'll discover numerous remains of temples and palaces.

Continuation to Pushkar. Overnight in hotel.


Day 9

Pushkar > Jaipur (2h30 drive)

After breakfast, discover the sacred lake, ghats and village of Pushkar. Pushkar is one of the holy cities where pilgrims come to bathe in the sacred lake for ablution. Stroll through the charming old market.

Departure for Jaipur, Rajasthan's capital and "pink city". Jaipur was founded in 1728 by the warrior astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh II.

Day 10

Jaipur - Amber - Jaipur

After breakfast, departure for an excursion to Amber Fort, 10 km north of the city. In Mughal times, it was the former residence of the Maharajas. Amber is the former capital of the state, founded by the Minas and abandoned a few centuries later when Maharaja Jai Singh moved to Jaipur. Visit the palace with its mirror-set halls and the former harem. Glimpse the Hawa Mahal or "Palace of the Winds", an extraordinary section of the wall of an ancient Baroque palace considered one of the wonders of Rajput architecture. The many windows that adorn its façade were built to allow the women of the royal harem to see out without being seen in return.

Visit to the city palace, the Maharaja's palace, part of which is still inhabited by the Maharaja and houses Mughal miniatures.

The astronomical observatory, Jantar-Mantar, built by Jai Singh II between 1728 and 1734, houses the world's most accurate sundial.

Day 11

Jaipur > Ranthambhore (4h drive)

After breakfast, departure for Ranthambhore.

In the afternoon, around 2 pm, safari in the national park in a shared 20-seater canter. Overnight at the hotel.

Please note that there are 10 trails in the national park and that every Tuesday 5 are closed and Wednesday another 5. Booking is controlled by the government and we cannot guarantee the trail number as it is allocated online. Subject to availability at time of booking.


Day 12

Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (4h30 drive)

Early morning around 06:00 Safari in the national park in a 20-seater shared canter.

Departure for Agra, on the way visiting the famous city of Fatehpur Sikri, also known as the ghost town, founded by Akbar, the greatest Mughal leader. A magnificent Unesco World Heritage site. Continue to Agra, overnight at hotel.


Day 13

Visit Agra

Morning visit to Taj Mahal, one of the highlights of Mughal art and architecture: the Taj Mahal, the country's most famous monument, considered the eighth wonder of the world. This luminous mausoleum of white marble encrusted with semi-precious stones was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Afternoon visit to the Red Fort, whose high red sandstone walls overlook the Yamuna River, built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century. Overnight at hotel. "Note: the Taj Mahal remains officially closed every Friday.


Day 14

Agra > Varanasi

The Vande Bharat express train leaves at 06:00 and arrives in Varanasi at 13:00 departures Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun

On arrival in Varanasi, transfer to hotel

Late afternoon participation in the Aarti ceremony on the banks of the Ganges (exhilarating, spiritual Hindu ritual). Overnight at hotel.


Day 15

Varanasi - Delhi (Domestic) - Paris

Early in the morning, take a boat trip on the Ganges and enjoy a completely different atmosphere. It's time for prayers on the sacred banks and ritual ablutions in the river. Stroll through the old town to the 17th-century Aurangzeb mosque. Glimpse of the Golden Temple (the holiest in Benares, unfortunately entry is forbidden to non-Hindus).

Visit to Sarnath, an important and famous site in the life of Buddha, where he preached his first sermon.

Transfer to the airport in the afternoon, depending on flight schedule. Arrive directly at the airport to connect your flight to Paris... or depending on your international return flight, if you need an extra night in Delhi.
