Day 1: Fine Arts to start

Spend your day at the Fine Arts Museum, which is well worth it. It will show the evolution of modern art in Germany and particularly in Leipzig, where important artists such as Max Klinger (symbolism), Max Beckmann (New Objectivity), Werner Tübke (socialist realism), and Neo Rauch (New Leipzig School) were born or worked in the 20th century. Temporary exhibitions are often at the forefront of artistic and exciting news.

Day 2: La Spinnerei, an artists' district

Direction Rome of contemporary art in Leipzig, in the west of the Plagwitz district: the Spinnerei. The old factory has been transformed into a gigantic artists' district with workshops, galleries, museums and all kinds of events related to contemporary art. Day 4: Artistic walk
Steps: Leipzig
A day's walk in Leipzig in search of murals scattered throughout the city. Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse is a privileged stopover: Fischer-Art's murals, Blek le Rat's graffiti "La Vierge et l'Enfant" and the communist signs of Feinkostgelände reign there. In Plagwitz, some street art works have become cult, such as the "Weisse Dame", a 1920s advertisement. In the evening, land at Galerie Kub, also in the Südvorstadt, a favourite place for performances and installation exhibitions, hosted by art students.

Day 5: Leipzig, city of printing and photography
Steps: Leipzig
Visit Galerie d'art contemporain de Leipzig, which features Leipzig artists from the GDR era such as Rosemarie Trockel and Carsten Nikolai, as well as beautiful temporary exhibitions. In the afternoon, you can vary the art forms with a visit to the Assissi Panometer, a specialist in panoramic reconstructions, the Museum of Printed Arts, which showcases Leipzig as a printing city, or the superb German Photography Museum, the largest of its kind in Germany
