Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Arrival at Cairo International Airport, formality and transfer to a hotel in the city. 

Day 2: The Giza Pyramids

Steps: Vallée Des Rois, Louxor, Tanis

After breakfast in the hotel, go to the Giza plateau at the exit of the city, where you will discover the wonderful Pyramids of Cheops, Kephren and Mykerinos, allow time to appreciate these magical moments. Then, it will be possible to visit the solar bark room facing the Pyramid of Cheops. In the late afternoon, Cairo Museum that presents the largest collection in the world of antiquities from the Pharaonic period, such as the Tutankhamun treasure or the Tanis treasures. At the end of the day, Giza railway station to take the sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner served on board.

Day 3: The Valley of the Kings

Steps: Gourna - Thèbes Ouest, Louxor, Vallée Des Rois

Arrival in the morning in Luxor, breakfast on board and then departure by road to the west bank, to discover the Valley of the Kings, where 62 magnificent royal tombs were updated, including that of Tutankhamun by Howard Carter in 1922. Day 4: Aswan and Lake Nasser

Steps: Assouan, Lac Nasser, Philae, Île Éléphantine

After breakfast at the hotel, destinationAswan with a guide. Visit of the High Dam completed in 1971, offering a superb view on Lake Nasser, then visit of the splendid Temple of Philae, located on an island, dedicated to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. At the end of the day, a moment of relaxation, aboard a traditional felucca, which will sail around theElephantine Island

Day 5: The Abu Simbel Temples,

Steps: Memphis, Assouan, Abou Simbel

During this day, you will discover the Abu Simbel Temples, temples built by Pharaoh Ramesses II. The great temple is devoted to the three main gods of the ramesside era: the sun god Re-Horakhty, Amun of Karnak and Ptah of Memphis, without forgetting the king himself worshipped in this place as a god. The little temple is dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Queen Nefertari. The departure will have to take place early in the morning, for a journey of about 3 hours. Return to Aswan.

The afternoon will be free and you can continue exploring Aswan and its treasures (Nubia Museum, Botanical Garden...)

At the end of the day, our representative will accompany you to Aswan railway station where you will take your sleeper train to Cairo. Dinner and night on the train.

 

 

Day 6: Excursion to Saqqarah

Steps: Memphis, Saqqarah

Breakfast served on board. Arrived at the Cairo train station, transfer hotel. visit of the Pyramids of Saqqarah and the old Memphis capital. Visit of the souks 

Day 7: Fellucca ride on the Nile

Steps: Alexandrie

Last day in Cairo for other visits or moments of relaxation such as a fellucca ride on the Nile or an excursion to Alexandria, if flight at the end of the day. Return.
