Day 1: Leaving civilization

Steps: Kompong Cham, Sen Monorom

From Phnom Penh, go up the Mekong to Kompong Cham and head east in the Mondolkiri province. Rest in the regional capital, Sen Monorm.

Day 2: On foot or on feet of elephant

The villages of the Bunong ethnic group are all around the city. You'll be able to schedule a beautiful excursion day by passing from one to the other, and you will see how this little people still make some elephants. Contacts with animals will be all the more facilitated as many eco-tourism associations seek to convert them into tourism.

Day 3: From Sen Monorm to Ban Lung

Steps: Ban Lung

Win the province of Ratanakiri and its capital, Ban Lung. The road will have been devastating then dégourdissez your legs with a small tour in town and take advantage of it to make your market with the many agencies offering excursions, treks, walks...

Day 4: Hiking in the jungle

Steps: Siempang, Ban Lung

There are many possibilities for excursions around Ban Lung and they are becoming more and more popular. For this first day, prepare your strength and embark on a hike in the heart of Virachey National Park. The jungle is particularly dense and the physical effort you will have to put in is not to be underestimated. Return to Ban Lung in the evening.

Day 5: Magical swim

Steps: Ban Lung

Relax a little while launching the natural basins of the region. Boeng Yeak Lon is one of the most beautiful. But the Ka Tien waterfalls and the natural swimming pool in which they spawn also offer exceptional decor! In return, make a final stop at the Ka Chang waterfall in the immediate vicinity of Ban Lung.

Day 6: Last step

Steps: Kratie

Take the way back to Phnom Penh with a stop in Kratie. You may have the chance to see Irrawaddy dolphins, a species found only in Southeast Asia and characterized by its round head. To do this, rent a bike or boat and tour the island of Koh Trong, facing the city.

Day 7: End of course in Phnom Penh

Return to the capital, make your last purchases to the Russian market, stroll along the Mekong and spend a last evening animated at the night market. Take off and fly back in the evening.
