Day 1: Arrival in Los Angeles

Steps: Los Angeles

Spend the night in neighbourhood.

Day 2: Discover Downtown L.A.

Steps: Los Angeles

From Westwood, take the bus and subway to Art Deco Union Station. Discover the Pueblo of Los Angeles, Olvera Street and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Frank Gehry's masterpiece. Walk along the MOCA to Pershing Square. Spend the early evening at The Rooftop Lounge, at the top of the Standard Hotel.

Day 3: UCLA and Santa Monica

Steps: Los Angeles

Start the day on 's campus and drive to the ocean via Sunset Boulevard. Follow the sublime Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu. Invigorating sea swimming at Zuma Beach, or nature observation at Point Dume. Join animation of at the end of the day.

Day 4: Getty Museum and Hollywood Boulevard

Steps: Los Angeles

Head to the Getty Museum for an artistic stopover in Brentwood Heights. Then head to Griffith Park, in Hollywood Heights, for a picnic and a hike. Late afternoon on Hollywood Boulevard, from the Walk of Fame to the Chinese Theatre...

Day 5: Beverly Hills and Sunset Boulevard

Beverly Hills awaits you, with its palm-lined avenues, gleaming cars and Tudor mansions. The jewelry stores of Rodeo Drive and the legendary Sunset Boulevard complete the tour.

Day 6: Pasadena and Burbank

Steps: Burbank

Head back north, go to Pasadena for lunch. Then, join Burbank to visit the movie studios.

Day 7: Universal City

Steps: Los Angeles

Visit Universal City and its . It's an absolute must-see for any fan of American cinema, and you'll spend the whole day there.

Day 8: Farniente in Malibu

Head back west and trade in your camera for a pair of sunglasses. Malibu awaits you, with its beaches and seaside atmosphere.

Day 9: Pacific Palisades and Marina del Rey

Drive along the coast from Malibu, passing through Pacific Palisades, Marina del Rey or Redondo Beach, where you will spend the night. The road is very pleasant and particularly sunny.

Day 10: Surf in Huntington Beach

Steps: Huntington Beach

The seaside journey continues with Long Beach or Huntington Beach. This stay on the coast will allow you to take a surf course, or simply sunbathe on the long sandy beaches.

Day 11: Direction San Diego

Steps: San Diego

On the way, stop off at San Clemente to enjoy the beach and sea air. The afternoon is devoted to visiting San Diego and its Balboa Park. Overnight in San Diego.

Day 12: San Diego Museums

Visit San Diego's museums and historic districts. Finish the day at the beach!

Day 13: Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park

From San Diego head north to Palm Springs. From there you can take a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. Overnight stay.

Day 14: Mojave Desert

Leave the park early in the morning and head north to the Mojave Desert. Prepare your cameras and water bottles. Spend the night in a lodge on site.

Day 15: Crossing Death Valley

Steps: Death Valley National Park

Cross Zabriskie Point.

Day 16: Return to the Pacific

This day will be devoted to the return towards the coast. You have 8 hours to drive to San Luis Obispo. In the evening, have dinner in one of the good restaurants of the city. Night in San Luis Obispo.

Day 17: From San Luis Obispo to Santa Barbara

Visit of the city before leaving for Santa Barbara, archetype of the Californian city. With its colorful and Mediterranean architecture, the city offers a pleasant stay. Stroll through its streets and spend the evening in its bars. Night in Santa Barbara.

Day 18: Back to Los Angeles

It takes just under 2 hours to get to Los Angeles, so you still have time to enjoy Santa Barbara before catching your plane at the end of the day.
