Stay : The Panhandle and the Tsodilo Hills

We will spend 4 days in this region of theOkavango, but a week or more to relax. Fishermen will be able to spend most of their stay here. This route is feasible by car, using the A3 and A35 paved roads that go around the delta and along the Panhandle known as the Caprivi Strip. If you have more than four days, this will allow you to reach Kasane.

Day 1: Departure from Maun or Gantsi

First night in a camp on the river or in one of the community villages around Maun.

Day 2: Over the water

Boat ride and discovery of avifauna. The boat is the best way to discover the landscapes of this region and to observe the birds there.

Day 3: Encounter with the local culture

Steps: Seronga

Excursion to Seronga to see this village turned towards the river, meet its inhabitants and sleep in a camp, or on theOkavango in a hotel boat. The mokoro ride is a must.

Day 4: Cruise on the river

Steps: Seronga

Walk through Mokoro around Seronga.

Day 5: Excursion to the Tsodilo Hills

Discover the rock paintings and engravings in this site which is ideal for walking. It is recommended to spend a night in camping

Day 6: Across the border across the border

Steps: Kasane - Kazungula

You can extend your stay by crossing the border and visiting the Namibian small reserves and traditional villages nearby. Return from the side of Kasane and its airport.
