How to get there - Wulingyan
Arrival in Hong Kong
Installation in the center. First immersion: stroll along the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade, overlooking Victoria Bay. Stroll through the bird, flower and other fantasy markets of Kowloon. Evening in Mong Kok and dinner in a small local restaurant.
Between temples and skyscrapers
Visit Man Mo temple and the Sheung Wan district with its steep alleyways, climb Victoria Peak for a 360° view, then in the afternoon, excursion to Lantau to see the Great Buddha and the stilt village of Tai O.
Day trip to Macau
Boat trip (1h). Discover old Macau : ruins of Saint-Paul, A-Ma temple, colorful Baroque churches, theater, visit to the superb Mandarin's House and the Sao Lourenço and Sao Lazaro districts, cobbled streets and mixed cuisine. A mix of Chinese and Portuguese influences create a unique atmosphere. At the end of the day, head for Taipa and the Cotai Strip, home to the world's most extravagant casinos and hotels. Return to Hong Kong in the evening.
En route to Yangshuo
From HK West Kowloon Station, take a train to Guilin , then drive (1h30) to the village of Yangshuo, in the heart of Guangxi's karst landscapes. Check into a charming inn on the banks of the Li or Yulong rivers.
Day trip to Yangshuo
Bamboo rafting on the Yulong River, bike or scooter rides through the countryside and small villages, dinner in the pedestrianized old town and end the day with the splendid Impression Sanjie Lu show.
Journey to Zhangjiajie
Steps: Wulingyan
Long day's journey. Road from Yangshuo to Guilin, then 7-hour train journey to Zhangjiajie. Arriving in the evening, transfer to Wulingyuan, the gateway village to Zhangjiajie Park and home to most guesthouses and hotels.
Zhangjiajie National Park
Explore the park: suspended walkways, a forest of vertiginous rock pillars, breathtaking cable cars, an outdoor elevator and a hike to the bottom of the park, at the foot of the rocks. Panoramic views of the landscapes that inspired Avatar. Breathtaking. Overnight stay in the vicinity of the park.
Tianmen Shan and road to Furong
Steps: Furong
Spectacular ascent of Mount Tianmen by cable car, glass paths at the edge of the void, visit to the celestial grotto. Then take the train (20 minutes) to Furong. Enjoy the village at the end of the day, take in the free show and dine at one of the restaurants overlooking the waterfall and illuminated village. Overnight in a charming guesthouse.

Fenghuang: city on the water
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Furong as the sun rises, before heading back to the station to take the train to Fenghuang. A day in this historic riverside town: houses on stilts, stone bridges, small stores and handicrafts. Evening stroll through the illuminated center.
Fenghuang and train to Fujian
Morning stroll through Fenghuang, before heading to the train station and leaving Hunan for northern Fujian. Afternoon train transfer: plan to connect in Changsha before arriving in Wuyishan.
Wuyishan National Park

A day in Wuyishan Park, rafting on the Nine Meanders River, hiking in the mountains, a visit to a Da hong pao plantation and tea tasting with a local producer or in one of the countless tea houses in the small town center. End the day with a performance of Impression Da Hong Pao.
Quanzhou, the historic Unesco city

Steps: Quanzhou
Quanzhou is much less touristy than other Chinese cities, yet it's not lacking in charm. From Wuyishan, it's a 2-hour train ride. Its historic center is easy to visit on foot: mosques, temples, pagodas, alleyways, coffee shops and handicraft boutiques create a unique atmosphere, and the locals seem to live a peaceful daily life on their bicycles.
Xiamen

Steps: Xiamen
Train to Xiamen in less than an hour. Stroll through the large botanical garden, then along the old railroad, now converted into a pedestrian walkway. Visit the Siming district and Nanputuo temple. End of the day in the Shapowei district.
Gulangyu
Steps: Xiamen
A day exploringGulangyu Island on foot (1h by boat from Xiamen): piano museum, paths to lookouts, beaches, elegant and peaceful atmosphere with colonial houses. Return to Xiamen in the afternoon, with a detour to the trendy residential district of Xidi and its many coffee shops.

Road to the Hakka tulous

Steps: Taxia
Drive to the interior of Fujian (by train or car). Visit a number of circular tulous and stay in a traditional guesthouse to experience the interior. The village of Taxia is particularly popular for one or two nights, where time seems to stand still.
Exploring Hakka villages
Steps: Nanjing
Explore the villages of Nanjing or Yongding. Walks between hills and rice fields, discovery of local know-how, lunch with local people. Return to Xiamen at the end of the day.
