Day 1: From Arbois to Poligny

Steps: Arbois, Poligny, Pupillin

Arbois being the capital of wines, you will have stopped there, and, after having visited this charming city, direction a second capital, Pupillin, it is the Poulsard which is the king. Continuing through the vineyards, next door you will find Poligny, a city of art and history. To see the Cour des Ursulines and the Collegiale Saint-Hippolyte (15th century), among other buildings. The streets are punctuated with private mansions with carved wooden porches.

Day 2: From Poligny to Lons-le-Saunier

Steps: Baume-Les-Messieurs, Frontenay, Lons-Le-Saunier, Poligny

Leaving Poligny, take the road to Revermont with its winegrowing villages and beautiful houses, Frontenay and its castle, and one of the most beautiful villages in France, Château-Chalon, awaits you, with its viewpoints overlooking the Jura plain. Going back down, you will then enter one of the Jura's remote areas to discover Baume-les-Messieurs and its abbey at the foot of steep and impressive cliffs. As you go deeper, you will discover a waterfall and the famous caves. Then you can discover Lons-le-Saunier. Just before, on your way, the imposing castle of Le Pin is worth a visit. The city center is decorated with large and lively terraces.
