Opened in 1703, the Tomaselli café has retained the traditional conviviality for which Austrian cafés are known. It has two terraces, one on the first floor. It is a deliciously baroque establishment where the tables are still turned to offer each one a small pastry from a range that will make the gourmets' heads spin. A charming, historic establishment. Built in the 1880s in Haussmann style, the building was once a bazaar. The café opened its doors in 1909, and has welcomed celebrities such as Marlene Dietrich, Romy Schneider and Hugo von Hofmannsthal. The room is spacious and high-ceilinged, typical of the elegant Austrian Kaffeehouse . On sunny days, you can enjoy the terrace overlooking the Left Bank and the fortress. Here, you can spend pleasant hours reading the press and daydreaming as you watch the passers-by...

Every day, Mozart comes to life at the Salzburg Residence, a venue steeped in history since it was here that the maestro first played for the archbishop. Two concerts take place at 3pm and 5pm. The first, entitled Residenzconzerte, is played by a soloist on a reproduction of a harpsichord from 1769. The musician obviously gives pride of place to Mozart, and adds a few Baroque works to his repertoire. The second, Mozart Violinsonaten, is played as a duo by a violinist and a pianist, who skilfully bring his most beautiful sonatas to life.

The bar is housed in Salzburg's oldest hotel, built in 1399 on the banks of the Salzach River in the center of the city. Purchased in 2001 by businessman Haythem Al Wazzan, it was completely renovated and modernized by architects Michael Strobl and Christian Prasser in 2016, before opening as a superb 4-star hotel in 2017, which has since come under the management of the Amadeus hotel group. The hotel's rooftop bar offers panoramic views and stylish decor. Champagne! The first floor is also home to an organic gourmet restaurant.
