Airlines and services Fujairah

Built in 1987 and located 1.7 kilometers from the center of Fujairah, the only Emirati international airport on the coast was 90% cargo-oriented, and also operated a few charter and private jet flights. But a second runway has just been built, along with a new 57-metre-high control tower whose architecture evokes a falcon with folded wings. With Salam Air launching 18 destinations from Fujairah, airport traffic is set to increase.
