BLUE BEACH
Read morePlage Bleue is located on the peninsula of Cassis, in a creek just before the rocky inlet of Port-Miou. It is adjoining the gastronomic restaurant La Presqu'île, as well as a more affordable restaurant for tighter budgets. The view is wonderful from the terraces. Solarium, mattress and swimming pool for children are reserved for guests. For those who love swimming in the sea, it is possible, but access to the water is difficult. Here, no sand beach but large flat rocks on which it is possible to lie down. Those who are more daring can jump into the water from different rocks. The ascent is adventuresome, which is why it is essential to have bathing shoes.

BIRD'S TRAIL
Read moreThe Huveaune is one of the rivers that feed Marseille. His role was of primary importance and he was even divinized in the time of the Gauls. The river originates in the Sainte-Baume massif and, according to legend, it is the tears of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine that would feed the river (she lived for more than 30 years in a cave on a massif). The section of interest to us here is located in the heart of the city and easily accessible from Michelet Boulevard. From there, you can head east towards Saint-Loup, on pleasantly equipped bike paths and walk along the river. To the south, you will reach the Prado beaches along a green and quiet path.

ÉTANG DE BERRE
Read moreA coastal lagoon with a unique ecosystem, the Etang de Berre is the second largest salt pond in Europe and the first in France. It is 20 kilometres long and between 16.5 and 9.5 kilometres wide. Several nautical clubs offer activities such as catamarans, but you can also fish, relax.... The surroundings of the pond are home to 250 species of birds, and observatories allow you to admire them without disturbing them. The pond's salt works are classified as a special protection zone, which means that it is a question of respecting the area and its inhabitants, but it is also a very beautiful place to discover.
