Pan Geea Youth Hostel, Geea Caffe is located on the first floor of an old building, overlooking Piaţa. Inside, it is a happy mix of travelers and young people from Sibiu. The beer is flowing in a festive atmosphere. Very successful, the baroque decoration is astonishing, with its stylish furniture, old Persian carpets, tapestries decorated with scrolls and other obsolete objects. You will also find a games room, with everything you need to play cards, backgammon, rummy and various board games.

In a nook of the piața Mică, this café-bar-restaurant offers a cosy, warm setting, with leather armchairs and banquettes, beautiful woodwork, under white cross vaults. There's also a lovely terrace overlooking the square. It serves all kinds of drinks, including good craft beers, as well as simple, good food: wraps, focaccias, pastas, pizzas, salads, meat dishes and Asian dishes, not forgetting homemade Italian ice creams. Breakfast is also available.

The National Theater and Opera of Cluj-Napoca is a must-see for theater and opera lovers. Located on Place Ştefan cel Mare, it offers a varied, high-quality program. Shows are performed on the main stage as well as in the "Euphorion" studio. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.bilete.ro. The theater also organizes special events, festivals and exhibitions.

Its elegant, classical-style façade contrasts with the rest of the building, which looks like a large white mushroom from the back. This prestigious concert hall, built astride the city walls, is home to the Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra. Here you can enjoy symphonic concerts and recitals at very affordable prices. Built in 1787 as a theater, the hall suffered two major fires, including one in 1949. After extensive restoration work in the 1990s, it was inaugurated in 2004.

The place to go out in Sibiu, very nice and well placed. In summer, you can set up in the morning on the beautiful veranda terrace, with its lovely view over Piaţa Mică, to sip a coffee or refreshment in a quiet setting. Later in the night, a graffiti-covered staircase takes you down into a brick cellar, where a rocking, festive atmosphere reigns. The venue regularly hosts concerts of all kinds. Partygoers can also satisfy their hunger by ordering a pizza, burger or pasta.

This place, which invites you to "cuddle the mug", is perfect for a gourmet break: try the delicious hot chocolate, savor the caffeinated creations, whether hot or iced, taste the warm croissants... The Scandinavian decor is relaxing and the service attentive. You can sit back and relax on the premises, or opt for a drink to go. What's more, prices are really reasonable. In addition to the sign on the main pedestrian street, you'll find another, less central, on Calea Dumbrăvii (at number 16).

Just off the main square, it's the ideal place to relax and enjoy a coffee. It's roasted on the premises and sourced from various countries. You'll find all kinds of caffeinated specialties, as well as excellent teas, cold drinks and lemonades. You can also sit back and enjoy a beer or glass of wine. The decor is warm and trendy, all wood with touches of blue. There's also a lovely courtyard.

Here's a nice place to have a coffee, sip a refreshment or even grab a bite to eat. Located on the citadel's central square, this establishment run by a Christian association occupies the "House on the Rock" and boasts a very pleasant terrace on the cobblestones. As for drinks, in addition to coffee specialities, you'll find homemade lemonades, smoothies, etc. Delicious tarts and other delicacies of all kinds (waffles, ice creams, etc.) are served, as well as breakfasts and a few dishes at lunchtime: sandwiches, quiches, salads, etc.

A great place for a drink or a quick bite to eat. This café offers a very wide range of teas and coffees, as well as delicious fruit juices, good Romanian craft beers and more. If you're feeling peckish, you can opt for a sandwich, salad or bruschetta, filled with good, often local, produce. It's also the perfect place to have breakfast or sit down with your computer. And prices are low. Cultural events abound: exhibitions, concerts, screenings, readings, etc.

A cool bar that defines itself as a "cocktail factory". The menu features almost fifty different kinds, all with evocative names: Stalingrad, Russian mojito, Ceaușescu, Gorki, Russian Roulette and Sex on the Tundra. The decor is in the same vein: portraits of Lenin, propaganda posters, period objects... In short, pop culture à la sauce communiste, presented with humor and irony. At the rear of the building is a pleasant terrace. The place is popular with young people and can get crowded at weekends.

An excellent café, with a Mozart theme of course! It's a little far from the heart of town, but well worth the detour: in an old house, with a timeless vintage atmosphere, you're immediately transported to another era, while the waitresses are dressed in traditional Austrian costumes. On the menu, an incredible choice of teas, coffees (flavored, alcoholic...) and chocolates, as well as waffles, gigantic bowls of ice cream and huge homemade cakes. An ideal coffee-shop for small or large hungers.

As its name suggests, Zorki Photo Café is a bar where photography plays an important role. Numerous photographs adorn the walls of the establishment, providing a different view of the city. The café, located on the second floor, enjoys the youthful, lively atmosphere of bohemian Cluj, between theater and literature. The café's alternative rock music is well chosen, board games are available and numerous evening events are organized, including exhibition openings, concerts and quizzes. A non-smoking room is also available.

A trendy spot, Olivo Caffe welcomes you in a Parisian brasserie atmosphere, with its cosy armchairs and sofas, wooden furniture and waiters in white shirts and bow ties. A wide variety of coffees and teas are on offer, in a variety of combinations. Wines and snacks are also on the menu, with an emphasis on Italian cuisine: soups, pastas, salads, toast and excellent homemade cakes. Olivo has opened a second café in Piața Muzeului, which is also very pleasant, especially in fine weather.

Bohemian and relaxed, Café Bulgakov, named after the Russian writer, is located in a small medieval street in the old town. Opened in 2002, it is one of the addresses of Cluj's Hungarian community. The interiors reveal a vast series of vaulted rooms with red brick walls. Completed in 1843, the building was extended at the end of the ^19th century and in the 1960s. At once a restaurant (traditional Transylvanian cuisine), café, bar and even, since 2010, a club (hosting parties and concerts), Bulgakov is literally packed at weekends.

"Funny, funky, friendly" is the credo of the Shto College Bar. In this establishment, good humor is the order of the day. "I feel good" is displayed in large letters on the wall. The decor is a particular highlight, with brick walls, neon lights and graffiti. Located right in the center of town, you have to go through a small passageway to get there. The perfect place to relax and spend time with friends, with a wide choice of beers, as well as numerous cocktails and good wine. All at reasonable prices.

The cosy, traditional coffee-shop par excellence. Koffer is a quiet, cozy little café, with just a few tables and antique furniture, as if you were in the family living room. An air of bohemia reigns in this dandyish, literary den: the walls are filled with large bookcases full of books, which can be consulted on the spot or purchased. Everything is soothing and relaxing. Homemade pastries, smoothies and lemonades made from fresh fruit, as well as a wide variety of coffees and teas, are served to the accompaniment of soft music.

A nice bar where you can quickly get to know each other. It occupies a nice old yellow house in a small street near the main square. The interior cultivates an industrial style, with its pallet decoration and whitewashed brick walls. The basement hosts a nightclub part and a video game room. Theme evenings and concerts of all kinds (jazz, techno, retro...) are organized there every week, as well as film screenings. You can also have a snack, in case of hunger. Nice terrace at the back.

Not far from piața Trandafirilor, on a perpendicular street, you can have breakfast, brunch or lunch here. The menu offers a wide choice of snacks: toast, burgers, wraps, nachos, soups, salads, Chinese noodles and some pasta and chicken dishes. This warm bar, decorated with paintings, also offers a wide choice of drinks: delicious coffee specialities, lemonades, fresh fruit juices, smoothies, beers and wines from around the world, cocktails... A good place to relax, with a pleasant terrace at the back.
